Nobody's Gotta Know

Nobody's gotta know.
It ain't a crime if you keep your eyes closed.
Ain't a lie if the truth can't pose.
And it's only a dangerous drug if you don't watch the dose.


It ain't a secret if you keep your mouth shut.
No one has to keep it if you don't let your words run.
Just hold your tongue and they won't assume there's a "but".
Don't say a word and we can keep it between us.


Nobody's gotta know.
It ain't a list of cons and pros.
If we don't say a thing, they can't point out our foes.
They'll only know if we let them, which we won't.


It ain't an issue if it's never spoken.
Ain't a mirage if the lies aren't woven.
Keep it quiet cause nobody has to know it.
And they won't if this vow isn't broken.


Nobody's gotta know.
You were there, no one saw you though.
They won't figure it out, that's a fact not a hope.
If you don't speak it you won't have to wash your mouth out with soap.


It ain't reality if nobody saw it.
Words paint a believable picture no matter how flawed.
It ain't a lie till truth can be brought.
You keep quiet and let me do the lying till they've bought it.


Nobody's gotta know.
It ain't a crime cause you kept your eyes closed.
Ain't a lie because not a single word of truth could be proposed.
And it ain't a danger to us because you never spoke.
