He is Not, He is

He makes me such a fool.
I feel like I'm falling apart.
He is not half my soul,
He is my whole heart.

When I'm out, for him, I search.
Without him, everything feels wrong.
He is not one line in the verse,
He is the whole song.

My love for him needs no reason.
His smile is a reward, a token.
He is not a single season,
He is years of love unspoken.

My thoughts, I beg to hush.
How can he be the only thing I think of?
He is not a mere crush,
He is a never ending love.

Both fear and calm he brings.
What's he's done, I wish he could see.
He is not just one thing,
He is everything to me.

I love him.
That thought used to make me grin.
Now the chance of happiness is slim.
I wish, to you, I could be even just a whim.
