For You

I have something to ask you, just give me this one answer.
If instead I danced for you, would I be a better dancer?
If instead I let him go, would I be happier?
If instead I wrote for you, would that make my poems sappier?

I want to understand
What is so appealing about a love story unfolding unplanned?
Without the comfort of the feelings I'm used to,
Would I feel better loving you?

Could happenstance
And chance,
Be enough to make me dance?
Could I finally break out of my ten year trance?

I'm not sure I know how to love someone new,
But I still hope that I do.
If I could just give it a try,
Would I find a new reason why?

Please give me this one answer.
Please make me a better dancer.
Please make me so much happier.
Please make my poems so much sappier.
