A Pretty Girl

I saw a pretty girl today.
She had this smile that just blew me away.
She had big brown eyes
That brought forth sighs
From the depths of my heart.
With just one look, she could have torn me apart.


I saw a pretty girl today.
When things like this happen, I never know what to say.
Till it's late at night
And all I can do is write
My heart on a page.
I can't seem to improvise on the stage.


I saw a pretty girl today.
And she kind of made me want to stay.
Stay in a place
Filled with the face
Of my muse.
She made me forget that he's all I'm used to.


I saw a pretty girl today.
She looked at me like she wanted to set my heart ablaze.
She had long brown hair that fell in waves
And left me amazed
With her beauty.
She was my type, truly.


I saw a pretty girl today
When she looked at me, I looked away.
If I wanted anything
She would be everything
All at once.
But I don't think I can handle that much.
