She's laying on her death bed,
Crying into his chest.
This may be the last chance you're ever gonna get,
To tell her that you're sorry for the mess that you left.
Cause if she dies tomorrow, you'll surely regret.

She's laying on her death bed,
Clinging to those last few hours of rest.
Hoping she'll find a message in the memories you left.
But her heart is weakening in her chest,
And there's no more time to find words that weren't said.

She's laying on her death bed,
Leaning on his chest.
He's the only one who makes her feel safe enough to rest.
Better move quick cause this is the last chance you'll get.
Tell her that you're sorry or you will regret.

She's laying on her death bed,
Her hands around his neck.
Maybe clinging to his light will chase away the darkness that you left.
Somehow she remembers everything and nothing that you said,
Because he was the only person there to hold her pretty head.

She's laying on her death bed,
"Dad, help me please," she said.
But she's looking at him with her eyes wet,
And you realize you've wasted the last chance you'll ever get.
You left her to die so now it's time to regret.

I'm laying on my death bed,
He holds me to his chest.
"A dad is different from a father" is what he always said.
It's the first time I've seen you since you left,
But you won't stick around till my heart stops I bet.
