This is a concept poem, it is not about me.

You're an artist.
But I am too.
While you are my muse,
I know I'm not the one for you.

I read it in your poetry,
I hear it in your songs.
You write about these love stories,
So I know I don't belong
With you.

It's all there in your melodies,
In the sound of your harmonies.
You write and write
About him being your light.

I cannot write,
But for you, I'd draw the night.
I'd pluck the moon and stars
If only it could get me your heart. For you, I fall apart.

You see it in my portraits,
Pictures can speak like a poet.
My art has a voice,
And it's begging for me to be your choice.

Yes, you're an artist.
And I am too.
We both express love in imagined views.
While you write for him,
I draw for you.
