I wake up still in Lane's arms.

He's still sleeping like a baby, his hand resting on my back. With my head resting on his chest, I feel my eyes slowly opening.

The sun pierces through his curtain and lights up the whole room, forming a beautiful morning. It can't be past nine in the morning though.

Or at least that's what I thought until someone knocks on the door. I ponder the possible options. Rowan doesn't wake up early, Rina wouldn't just show up randomly at Lane's apartment- she barely does with mine- and Benji... he'd rather throw himself off a cliff than to deal with us at this hours.

Which leaves us with Dev. Could be him since I kinda stopped answering him yesterday. Ugh. Why this early tho?

Another knock is heard making me curse him in all the ways I know in my mind and slowly lift myself up from the bed. I look for my slippers and make my way towards the door.

Without looking I open the door, "It's way too early for you to be here, Devon, I- you're not Devon." I frown looking at the two strangers.

"No," one of them, the guy, says just as confused.

I stare between the two. The guy is tall, dark hair and greyish eyes. He also looks like my presence bothers him. Ooookay. Moving to the girl, she's also a brunette, her hair incredibly dark and eyes a sweet caramel tone. Though she's way shorter than him.

"Excuse me for a second," I hold up a finger.

As I close the door on their faces- I know it's a little rude, but again nine fucking in the morning- anyway I notice the little narrows of both his brows. They're either dating or the same person.

I rush back to Lane's bedroom and make no effort to be gentle while trying to wake him up. Not my fault some strangers are on his front door.

"Angel?" he mumbles, still sleepy.

"Strangers. Door. Up. Now." I help him get up.

He frowns confused, "What?"

"There's two people at the door, who I have no idea who they are, I thought it was Dev so I went to open the door but I was clearly wrong" spoke a little too fast but I think he got the important parts.

"What time is it?" he asks as we start walking.

"Like ten past nine at best," I say, revolted.

"Why would anyone be here so early? You shouldn't have opened the door just like that, it's dangerous and I can't have something happening to you" Lane's tone becomes dead serious for someone who was just asleep.

"I know, but I'm okay" I reassure him.

"Stay behind me," he says, pulling me back with his hand before he goes to open the door.

Rubbing his free hand on the back of his neck, still half asleep half conscious, Lane grabs the door handle and sneaks a glance at the peephole.

"What the..." he pushes it open, "Knox?!"

I frown, "You know him?"
