"Got something for us to do" Lane announces.

I lift my head and peer my eyes at the brunette, examining the box he's carrying on his hands. He seats on the empty spot next to me and starts opening it.

Sneaking a glance at what's inside, I realise it's a package with Lego pieces. I raise a brow in question and he flashes me a knowing smile.

"We're making Lego flowers," he clarifies.

"That's... new," I'm so confused.

"Real one's end up dying, these doesn't which makes them a thousand times better. You can also use it to give some life to your apartment" my jaw drops at his unnecessary dig.

"Its minimalist, not dead" I defend.

"Sure, whatever you say, angel" he laughs.

"Whatever, just give me the damn instructions so I can make a better flower than yours" I pull out a hand so he can give me the paper.

Totally silently mocking me with that stupid face of his, he finally hands me over the thing. I read through the whole paper and drop the pieces on the comfy sofa.

There's green, yellow and red ones. All in different shapes and sizes. I look for the picture with what the final product is supposed to look like and try to think of how I should start this.

Finding the silence weird, I glance up for a moment and realize Lane is just staring at me. He hasn't even opened his own package.

I stare back, "What is it?"

"Nothing, you just look cute so focused" he grins.

"I'm trying to understand what to do here, I don't have as much experience as you" I point out in matter of factually.

He chuckles at me and finally starts taking the pieces to his own flower out of the bag. The colors are the same but his seems to have an extra part than mine.

A part of me is offended cause I could easily to the harder one as well. Then my conscious gives me some sense and I realize I probably really couldn't.

If I'm already kind of struggling with such a simple one like what I have in hands, imagine that. Before anyone judges me, everything is easy after the beginning okay.

Besides, I don't want to start off the wrong part because it will only get harder as the time goes. Yeah, I'm that cautious with basically everything I do.

On complete contrary to Lane, it seems. He doesn't even look at the intersections once while here I stand seated with the papers on my lap, trying to get whatever it is telling me.

Shouldn't these things be easy to follow? Im starting to think im the problem here. Which is great. Even a kid would be able to do this faster than me, at this point.

I decide to just go with all the green pieces and try to find my way through them. They will mostly be part of the base so at least I know I'm going from bottom to the top.

From there I really feel proud of myself when it starts to look like...something. I've been farther away from the end okay? But my happiness quickly dies when I realise my green pieces are almost over.
