Olivia abruptly turned her head and met a pair of scarlet eyes.

Damien Thorn was standing less than ten meters away from them.

He was still wearing the same shirt as before, with wrinkles that must have been from sleeping, yet it couldn't hide his noble demeanor. His pristine features were like an ethereal immortal atop a snowy mountain.

However, his eyes danced with a ferocity that could almost burn down the world, making people tremble just from a single glance.

Olivia's heart quivered violently.

She didn't know when Damien had come out or how much he had heard. When she left, he was still sound asleep.

From the moment he came out, Damien's gaze had been locked on Olivia, not sparing even half a glance for anyone else besides her.

At this moment, his blood was howling madly, but his voice was exceptionally calm:

"Liv, come here."

The same way of addressing her, yet it sent chills down Olivia's spine.

She didn't know if her explanations and reassurances would work this time, but she had no choice but to go to him.

The few meters of distance felt somewhat arduous to walk, even though she seemed light-hearted and joyful on the surface.

She stood before Damien, about to call out to him, when the man's bony hand gripped her wrist.

His fingertips were slightly cool, enveloping her as he strode inside, tossing a sentence to his bodyguards—

"Drag those two down!"

The bodyguards hurriedly went to chase after them, and seeing this, the two quickly got into their car and fled.

Meanwhile, Olivia was pulled by Damien all the way to the deepest part of the villa.

The room at the end of the corridor was filled with carving tools.

Damien stood backlit, his tall figure gilded with a layer of shattered gold by the late summer light behind him.

His fingers lightly grazed Olivia's cheek, as if reaching through her flesh to touch her bones.

Olivia felt her hair stand on end, but she still mustered the courage to place her hand on the back of Damien's.

The man's movement paused, his eyes suddenly locking onto Olivia's.

One hand maintaining its original position, his other hand fell on Olivia's leg, tapping it:

"Liv, what if I break these disobedient legs and carve them into an ornament?"

His tone was still calm, but Olivia could sense the seriousness in his words.

This man really seemed capable of doing such a thing.

Her heart was filled with unease, yet she still lunged forward, tightly hugging Damien's waist.

"I don't want to run away. I went out just now purely to see what other tricks they had up their sleeves! Everything I said to them was a lie!"

Damien's gaze remained locked on her, the pain in his heart still spreading like wildfire.

She had been deceiving him all along. Even though they had already been intimate, she still loved that other man!

She even pretended to be nice to him for the sake of that man.

The sweetness he thought they shared during the meal earlier was all a lie!

Even worse, in that meal, there was poison she had personally added for him!

Damien's heart constricted inch by inch, the thorns sprouting and branching in his heart piercing through his flesh and blood, making it almost impossible for him to breathe.

Olivia continued to explain:

"I didn't poison you. If you don't believe me, go get a health check on your body! Oh right, I kept the packet of poison my cousin gave me. It's in the inner layer of my backpack. If you don't believe me, you can go check..."

However, at this moment, Damien had already fallen into his own world, deaf to Olivia's words.

He narrowed his eyes, his gaze sweeping over the tools in the room, as if truly considering the feasibility of breaking Olivia's legs.

Alarm bells rang in Olivia's head. The instant Damien reached for a tool, she quickly rose on her tiptoes and kissed his lips.
