Smooch!
A crisp sound.
After the quick kiss, Olivia stood still, her heart pounding, her eyes burning as she looked at Damien:
"Dami, I like you."
As her words fell, the entire room plunged into complete silence.
The man maintained his original posture, unmoving, his expression unchanged.
However, only he knew that his heart seemed to have split into two halves.
One half was happily jumping with joy, excitedly saying, "She likes me too! She said she likes me out loud!"
The other half, however, sneered mockingly,
"She's just deceiving you. She's been deceiving you from the beginning. She doesn't love you. No one has ever truly loved you. You're just that abandoned infant left in a pack of wolves since childhood!"
The two voices clashed violently, and Damien's hand slowly tightened.
"It hurts—" Olivia's leg was squeezed painfully by him, and she couldn't help but let out a soft cry.
Damien quickly loosened his grip.
Seeing the man come back to his senses, Olivia couldn't help but feel relieved.
And it was at this moment that she finally confirmed one thing—
Although Damien was obsessive and crazy, he wouldn't really harm her.
However, the man's doubts in his heart must not have been dispelled yet, and he wouldn't easily believe that she no longer loved Evan Nolan.
So she needed to keep proving.
Thinking of this, Olivia stood on her toes, wrapped her arms around Damien's neck, and continued looking at him:
"Dami, you're the most handsome man. I must have been blind in the past to ignore someone as amazing as you and like that ugly man Evan Nolan instead!"
Damien frowned. He hated hearing the name of another man from her mouth.
Even if she called him an ugly man, Damien still didn't want to hear it.
Fortunately, Olivia didn't continue mentioning that name and instead said:
"You definitely don't believe that I like you, right? But we have plenty of time. I can prove it to you!"
Damien narrowed his eyes, as if contemplating.
After a moment, he said, "Draw a pendant design."
Olivia's family company was in the jewelry business. When she was fourteen, her parents disappeared, leaving her and her younger sister, Lily Carlson, behind.
Her uncle and aunt then took the two sisters in and said that since the children were young, they would help manage the family company for them.
Olivia had majored in jewelry design in college, intending to return to her family's company after graduation.
However, in her previous life...
Olivia put aside her thoughts and asked in confusion, "Dami, do you want me to design a men's pendant to give to you?"
However, the man in front of her said, "Design a women's one, for you."
Olivia didn't understand why he suddenly wanted to give her a pendant, but she still nodded. "Okay."
She took a drawing tablet and began sketching the design in the carving room.
She had already decided to draw a pair of couple pendants and give the male style to Damien.
Olivia had inherited her mother's talent for design. With just a bit of thought, she already had a rough model in mind.
She designed a pair of couple pendants. The men's pendant incorporated the first letter of her name, "O," while the women's pendant incorporated the first letter of his name, "D."
An hour later, Olivia handed the 3D design to Damien, her eyes shining:
"Dami, the men's one is for you. See how well it matches mine!"
Damien was slightly stunned, but soon a faint smile spread across his lips.
Although it was a very slight smile, Olivia was still dazzled.
God, how could someone smile so beautifully? She couldn't help but feel her heart rate speed up a bit.
Just as she was lost in her infatuation, there was a knock on the door, and Damien's subordinate brought in a pile of items.
Olivia took a look. They were all kinds of jewelry materials, a pile of eye-catching gems, and among them, there was also a... miniature tracking device?
