The photos depicted a person's growth from childhood to adulthood.
Olivia Carlson instantly recognized Damien Thorn.
The seven-year-old boy in the picture had likely just been brought out of a den of wolves. His hair was long, and his skin was tanned from constant exposure to the sun.
His eyes were fierce, staring at the camera like a wolf eyeing its prey.
In the next photo, the setting seemed to be the Thorn family's mansion, with a luxurious background.
However, the boy sitting in the grand hall appeared out of place amidst the opulence.
He was holding something in his hands. Despite the photo's low resolution, it was obvious that it was raw meat.
Blood was smeared on his hands and lips, indicating that he had been devouring it just moments before.
Olivia was startled.
She knew the photos couldn't be fake.
This meant that the Damien in the photos had indeed been eating raw meat!
Across from her, Brandon Thorn spoke calmly, "When Damien was brought home, he couldn't speak or understand human language. He wouldn't eat cooked food or communicate with us, but the chickens in the backyard often disappeared mysteriously."
Olivia remained silent, continuing to look through the photos.
In one photo, Damien stood among a group of teenagers, several of whom lay on the ground around him, covered in blood.
Brandon continued, "He was seven and a half in that photo. The children he defeated ranged from nine to thirteen years old."
"Seven children attacked him, and he maimed half of them. He bit off one boy's ear and would have torn out a thirteen-year-old's throat if we hadn't intervened."
Olivia's heart pounded. Even though the photos were static, she could imagine the scene vividly.
As she continued, each photo showed Damien growing older.
His skin gradually returned to its natural colour, and his features matured into handsome, well-defined lines.
He grew taller, his demeanour became more refined, and he no longer resembled the wild child in the first photo.
Yet, his eyes retained the same fierce intensity.
He had learned to mask it, but the ferocity remained.
Every photo had stark red blood, some belonging to his opponents, some to Damien.
He stood in a sea of red, like a lone wolf battling alone.
"I heard that Miss Carlson is engaged to my nephew. As his elder, while I wish Damien well, I can't bear to see you step into a pit of fire," Brandon said coolly.
"Damien grew up like this. Not only are the rumours about him in Empire City entirely true, but the reality is even more terrifying!"
Brandon's words were sharp and unwavering as he locked eyes with Olivia, "He is a killing machine!"
"So what?" Olivia gathered the photos and looked directly at Brandon.
The man's eyes were filled with curiosity, waiting for her to continue.
Olivia's face showed no fear, only a hint of derision at the corners of her mouth.
"You expect me to be scared, to distance myself from him, to run away after seeing these photos?"
Brandon frowned slightly, Olivia's reaction was not what he had expected.
Olivia began tearing the photos apart one by one.
"He had an unfortunate childhood, fell into a wolf's den, and when his family brought him back, instead of feeling heartbroken, they took photos of him like this."
"He was seven and attacked by a group of children because his family failed to protect him. Yet after the fight, bloodied and battered, he was met with more photographs."
"He grew up in such an environment, receiving nothing but harm from his family. Should he have just endured it without fighting back?"
"Yes, he's frightening, but if he hadn't been this way, he wouldn't have survived until today!"
"He became like this because you all forced him to!"
