Olivia had protected her sister but then saw Damien was about to erupt. She felt overwhelmed.
Sighing inwardly, she quickly soothed Damien, "Dami, Lily and I were just playing around. Don't be angry, let's go home first."
He grabbed Olivia's hand and walked forward expressionlessly.
Olivia was pulled along by Damien but shot Lily a meaningful look.
The two of them headed home first.
Behind them, the registry office staff hurriedly packed up, loading the desks, computers, printers and other equipment into a minivan to follow Damien Thorn's car.
Well, who could blame them when a certain someone was so formidable that they couldn't leave until he got his marriage certificate? They'd have to stay near Thorn residence for now!
On the drive up the hillside villa, Damien received a call from his bodyguard.
"Sir, we've searched the Pearson residence thoroughly but couldn't find the ID," the bodyguard reported nervously.
Dami's demeanor turned cold. "Keep looking! You can't leave until you find it!"
Hearing this, Olivia knew the ID likely wouldn't be found.
She tried to recall if anything notable involving an ID happened around this time in her previous life but drew a blank.
She pulled Damien to sit down, then stood before him, wrapping her arms around his neck soothingly.
"It's alright, Dami. The ID will turn up, don't be angry. I've already given you a token of my commitment!"
Dami slowly opened his palm to look at the small egg-shaped pebble.
Feeling a bit embarrassed, Olivia reached to take it back. "Actually, this isn't that great. Let me give you something else inst-"
But before she could retrieve it, Damien closed his fist around the pebble.
He wasn't giving it back - he made that clear.
Olivia felt a bit helpless but thought, well, if Dr. Thorn liked it, she'd let him keep the gift.
Just then, her phone pinged with a class group message.
Olivia opened it and immediately laughed at what she saw.
A classmate had shared a post titled:
"The Secret on a Certain Sweet and Innocent Uni Goddess' Collarbone"
Olivia clicked on it to find several audio recordings, along with photos of Stella Pearson from today's birthday party, including close-ups of her collarbone area.
The post was shared just ten minutes ago, but the comments section had already exploded.
Stella had cultivated a perfect school beauty persona over her four university years. With her looks and family background, she was highly pursued by male students.
Now, with this other side exposed, countless admirers' dreams were shattered!
The audio was undeniable evidence, coupled with Stella's own shared screenshots.
And her calmly holding her birthday party after this revealed her indifferent, normal attitude towards such behavior!
"Disgusting, I can't believe I had a crush on someone like that for four whole years!"
"So she's just a wanton woman! Pretending to be pure at school, looking down on me for being poor compared to the rich old man in those recordings?"
"Uni goddess? I think she pales in comparison to that girl in the silver dress beside her!"
"I think that's her cousin. Always dressing so plainly before and caking on makeup to look darker skinned. Who knew she was so pretty!"
"Wow, someone get me that cousin's contact info!"
Olivia cringed seeing the flames spread to her, and was about to keep reading when the post suddenly disappeared.
She couldn't find it again even after searching, and other classmates mentioned it seeming to have been censored.
Olivia frowned.
She had worked so hard to get those recordings into the class group - this was too small a splash!
Grabbing her laptop, Olivia felt an inexplicable force driving her as she rapidly coded.
Ten minutes later, the post reappeared on the forum.
The class group cheered, while Olivia stared at her own hands in a daze.
How did she know these hacking skills?
