Chapter 39: A Dark Secret

Olivia felt as if she was being devoured whole. This man, who appeared so composed and gentle on the outside, turned into a desert storm when he kissed her.

She felt like she was drowning, clinging to the piece of driftwood in front of her.

The man became more excited and intense, with a hint of resoluteness.

Olivia's lips began to ache from the rough kisses, and she couldn't help but let out a muffled groan as she pushed Damien away.

Only then did he pull back slightly from his emotions, his eyes red as he locked onto her. "Liv, you are mine."

Seeing the possessiveness and fervour in Damien's eyes, Olivia knew he was starting to become extreme again.

She had to soothe him, "Yes, I am yours."

Damien's voice was slightly hoarse as he scrutinised her. "Have you been good today? Did you do what you promised me?"

Olivia's heart skipped a beat. She had completely forgotten about the promise she made to Damien.

However, she had learned to hide her emotions well and obediently nodded. "Yes, I remembered and did everything you asked."

Only then did the restless energy around Damien subside. His gaze fell on her slightly swollen lips, and he leaned in to gently lick them.

It was like a wolf tending to a small wound.

Olivia was stunned. Even though they had done much more intimate things, this moment caught her off guard, making her heart almost stop from either surprise or fright.

The man finally let go of her, leaving her with a single sentence: "Liv, wait for me to come back."

Damien went off to his meeting, and Olivia took a few seconds to compose herself before sitting on the sofa.

She touched her lips, feeling both exasperated and helpless. "Biting and licking... Did you learn that from the wolves that raised you?"

She sat down, pulling out her bag and finally having the time to look at the documents Brandon Thorn had given her.

She had expected these documents to be records of Damien's growth, but to her surprise, they were about the Thorn Group!
