"Kill him, I'll pay two million pounds!" Henry Thorn raised the offer once more.
His eyes were wide with shock. Although today's attack was impromptu, his henchmen were supposed to be among the finest hired muscle available.
Normally, even against a formidable opponent, four bodyguards should have been enough to take someone down.
He had called in twenty as extra insurance, never expecting his brother Damien to put up such a relentless fight after all this time.
This wolf raised in the criminal underworld was proving far more capable than Henry had anticipated.
However, one man's stamina had limits - he refused to believe Damien could keep going much longer with multiple stab wounds.
But Henry soon realized his mistake. One by one, his men dropped, Damien's shirt hanging in bloody tatters yet his ferocity unfaded.
Damien fought barehanded, his evasions and strikes exhibiting an almost inhuman swiftness. When one guard tried a leg sweep, Damien simply caught his ankle mid-kick.
A bloodcurdling scream tore through the air as the bodyguard crumpled.
Others tried taking advantage while Damien's hands were occupied, but he spun around, sinking his teeth into an attacker's throat.
Henry was two years younger and remembered gossip from his childhood that Damien was a deranged lunatic who bit people.
At the time, he hadn't thought much of it. But now he was truly stunned.
The bodyguards looked at Damien with horror, their movements faltering as they considered retreat.
This was no man, but a ravenous beast! The rumors were true - Damien Thorn was a killing machine.
Their fear cost the men precious split-seconds, allowing Damien to subdue several more with chokeholds.
Only six remained standing on Henry's side. Sensing the tide turning, he shouted, "He's fading! Don't be afraid - take him together! Whoever lasts until the end gets three million!"
As anticipated, the promise of money overrode Damien's caution at the trap, charging Henry's way with a confiscated knife.
"Now! Get him!" Henry yelled.
The blade found Damien's side, his body swaying slightly from the blow.
But Henry rolled away from the retaliating strike, making another lunge toward Olivia Carlson.
"Forget me!" she screamed defiantly, swinging a steel pipe at Henry with wild desperation.
Henry backpedaled, outmatched against her berserker fury with just a knife. "Kill him!" he kept shouting.
Damien ripped the blade from his own flesh, batting away another attacker behind him.
His gaze remained locked on Olivia, her amateurish but maniacal attacks keeping Henry at bay through sheer intensity. Forced to evade her relentless onslaught, Henry could only run and yell for reinforcements.
