Olivia suddenly understood why Damien Thorn had such a strong reaction that day.
If she had spent two years with him during their childhood, she would have known about his mango allergy.
Hence, he genuinely believed she was deliberately trying to kill him!
Olivia sighed inwardly. From what Lily had said, she and Damien hadn't interacted much after their childhood.
His obsession with her must stem from their past.
When Damien was brought back to the Thorn family, no one would have treated him kindly, so young Olivia's presence might have been his only solace.
So, does he like her, or is it just a special attachment formed from their childhood?
After all, Olivia had seen documentaries about imprinting behavior in animals, including wolves. Since Damien lived with wolves for seven years, could he have developed a similar way of forming bonds?
Also, if the person who had secretly helped her many times was Damien, why would he hide? With his personality, wouldn't he have directly asserted his dominance?
Olivia couldn't figure it out.
Recovering her correct memories was now urgent. She needed to investigate relevant information and find a way to restore her memories!
Seeing Olivia lost in thought, Lily shook her arm. "Sis, you and Damien Thorn... Do you really like him?"
This was the second time Olivia had been asked this question today.
Seeing her sister's curious expression, she leaned in close. "Alright, I'll tell you!"
Then, she leaned in and kissed Lily on the cheek.
"You're cheating!" Lily protested.
Olivia said, "Let me kiss you three times, and I'll tell you the answer."
Lily wanted to dodge but was too curious. Steeling herself, she leaned in. "Go ahead!"
Olivia smiled and kissed her sister, disregarding Damien's rule about no physical contact with girls.
After their playful scuffle, Olivia finally said, "Actually, he has had a tough life. I do feel for him."
Lily understood this wasn't love.
Feeling a bit down, she thought about her limited assets—just the 35% shares and nothing else.
"Don't worry, Lily. Damien treats me well. I think I'll gradually grow to like him, and I trust he won't let me down," Olivia said.
"As for Evan Nolan and our uncle's family, they took our wealth and treated us like this. They will pay for it!"
She vowed to make sure they got nothing they wanted and to reclaim everything they had taken, bit by bit.
Lily, fired up by Olivia's determination, nodded. "Okay, sis. Just tell me what you need me to do."
Olivia said, "For now, let's play along with them. They still have some use."
At least for the next year, she couldn't let them die.
She needed to keep them around because she was determined to find out who had been set up to enter her room at that hotel a year later in her previous life.
She needed to know who her son's father was.
As Olivia left Lily's school, she saw Damien's driver waiting.
Driver Mr. Green greeted her respectfully. "Miss Olivia, Mr. Thorn has sent me to take you home."
Olivia touched the pendant on her necklace, then checked her phone app, noting that Damien was at the Thorn family's company.
She smiled. "Take me to the Thorn Group."
