Just then, a figure suddenly appeared in Damien and Emma's line of sight. Olivia came running over, her eyes blinking in confusion as she caught sight of the whip in Damien's hand. He glanced down at the whip and quickly hid it away, his movements a touch frantic. In an instant, the fierceness that had enveloped him vanished, and his entire demeanour shifted to something gentler and more composed.
Olivia reached him and grabbed his hand. "What was that you were holding just now?"
Damien tensed slightly and lied, "Liv, you must be seeing things."
"Really?"
Olivia began to pat him down, searching him, but found nothing. Damien stood still, watching the girl before him. He hadn't seen her all day and had been itching to come and collect her. However, he had received a call from Daniel Stewart, who had mockingly teased him for being so clingy. Annoyed, Damien had hung up on Daniel and tried to resist the urge to rush over immediately. But after a while, he could no longer help himself and had come anyway. Now, seeing Olivia in the dress he had bought her, looking so beautiful that it made him want to kiss her, he felt a deep urge to take her home.
However, before he could act on this thought, Olivia grabbed his hand and led him towards a private room. A few metres away, Emma Pearson watched them depart, a shadow passing over her eyes. She had clearly seen Damien's transformation just moments before. All these years, Damien had always been different with Olivia! He had been different since they were children! However, when Damien had first been taken in by the Thorn family, it was Emma Pearson he had met first!
By now, Damien had been pulled into the private room by Olivia. She introduced him to Quinn and Jack. "This is my boyfriend, Damien Thorn. Dami, this is Quinn Morgan and this is Jack Miller."
Jack was the first to extend a hand. "Hello, Mr Thorn, you're quite dashing! Ever thought about getting into show business?"
Before he could finish his sentence, Jennifer Stewart kicked him. "Looks like you're possessed by a talent scout!"
Jack laughed, offering a cookie to Jennifer. "Occupational hazard, occupational hazard! Don't hold it against me, Jen..."
At that moment, the door to the room swung open. Everyone looked up to see Daniel Stewart standing in the doorway. He was dressed in a sharply tailored suit, with his shirt buttoned up to the very top and his tie neatly in place, exuding a mature, polished aura. Upon entering, his gaze immediately fell on the cookie near Jennifer's mouth.
Jennifer froze, pointing at Daniel at the door, and asked Jack, "Do you know who he is?"
Jack shook his head, then asked Daniel, "Sir, have you got the wrong room?"
Daniel's gaze was cold, but his tone was calm. "No, I'm here to take Jennifer home."
Jack looked confused and asked, "Jennifer, do you know him?"
Jennifer smiled indifferently. "Of course, he's my brother! Didn't expect that, did you? I've got such a CEO-like brother!"
Daniel caught the irony in her words and frowned slightly but still walked over and took Jennifer by the arm. "Time to go."
Just then, Stella Pearson, having heard the commotion from the room next door, came over. When she saw Daniel Stewart, her eyes lit up. "Mr Stewart, leaving so soon after just arriving? Jennifer might want to stay and have a bit more fun!"
With that, Stella extended an invitation. "Since we're all here together, why not come over to our room? It's quite spacious."
Normally, Jennifer wouldn't bother with such matters, but today she glanced at Daniel, a mocking smile playing on her lips. "My brother may be too old to play, but we're still young and haven't had enough fun yet. Why leave?"
