Olivia changed her mind before hanging up the phone.
"Alright, I'll bring you a gift at 2 pm," she said.
Evans Nolan had just heard that Damien Thorn was in the hospital, so he was just teasing when he said that.
He didn't actually expect Olivia to give herself to him, so he replied, "Okay Liv, where are you? I'll come meet you then."
Olivia gave him the hospital address.
After hanging up, Olivia could feel Damien's suffocating presence. Despite lying in the hospital bed, he exuded an aura of frantic ferocity.
Damien's eyes were bloodshot, but his pupils were a pure black, staring intensely at Olivia, enveloping her in his gaze. His bandaged hand clenched so tightly that bloodstains seeped through.
But he raised his hand to Olivia's cheek, calmly saying, "Liv, you're becoming disobedient."
Deep down, he was struggling.
One voice wanted more love, while another said that if he just locked her up, she'd never see that Evan Nolan again - she'd belong solely to him, even if she didn't love him.
From a young age, Damien was viewed as mentally unstable.
His stepmother abandoned him, and his father turned a blind eye. Only his grandfather took him back, but merely as a tool.
With no love even from his own family, how could he expect it from anyone else? He didn't actually believe he deserved love. Any warmth he received was like a fleeting dream, an illusion!
But it didn't matter, he was used to the pain.
Damien forced himself to calm down, terrified of scaring Olivia away. Injured as he was, he couldn't chase after her if she left.
As his mind raced, Olivia took his hand, furrowing her brow. "Damien, you're the disobedient one for not taking care of yourself."
She recalled what Martin had said about Damien's medication possibly impacting his health. At this rate, he might not live much longer...
Martin also mentioned Damien may be infertile...
Olivia gazed at Damien's handsome face, feeling a tinge of sadness. If he could have a child, it would surely be adorable.
Perhaps she should have his child while he was still healthy?
Blushing at the thought, Olivia felt too embarrassed!
Noticing her pensive look, Damien frowned again. Soon Olivia snapped out of it, having released his hand to gently remove his bandages.
"You got the anti-inflammatory all over the place," she chided, fetching new medicine.
Damien stared unblinkingly as she delicately applied the cotton swabs.
"Does it hurt?"
Olivia looked up, but Damien shook his head, "No."
Gazing at his wounds, Olivia winced in vicarious pain - yet this man felt nothing?
She firmly pressed a swab against him. "Really doesn't hurt?"
Damien instinctively furrowed his brow slightly.
"Well, does it hurt or not?" Olivia repeated.
Damien pursed his lips, an icy edge creeping over him, but remained silent.
Pained, Olivia pressed again. "Hurt or not, Dami? Don't lie."
She needed him to acknowledge if he was in pain.
Finally, Damien muttered, awkwardly looking away, "It hurts."
