Olivia stared at him, dumbfounded.

This was the first time she had encountered someone so matter-of-factly demanding to be monitored and monitor her in return.

However, there was something unexpectedly endearing about a man being so sincere in seeking her attention!

Olivia nodded seriously, "Okay."

She then went on her tiptoes to loop the pendant necklace over Damien's head and fasten it around his neck.

They were very close, with Damien purposely bending down to accommodate Olivia's height, so their noses almost touched. Olivia caught sight of his long eyelashes.

His cool masculine scent wafted over her, feeling slightly warm on her face.

Though they had already been intimate before, when Olivia had just been reborn, she hadn't fully adjusted, so her senses weren't that heightened.

But now...her cheeks felt hot, instinctively nervous.

To divert the tension, Olivia quickly changed the subject, "Dami, the doctor said you needed another IV drip today. Shall we go to the hospital for that?"

"No need, I'm fully recovered now."

Olivia didn't dwell on it further. She gazed intently at Damien, "Dami, I need to return to university next Monday."

She observed his expression carefully. Sure enough, upon hearing she'd be attending classes, his demeanor instantly darkened.

As expected, this guy would be difficult to persuade.

Olivia blinked at him, then boldly pulled Damien down onto the couch with her, going so far as to sit on his lap.

The man's muscles immediately tensed.

Not stopping there, Olivia wrapped her arms around his neck coyly, "Dami, I studied hard for a decade to get into university - I can't drop out halfway! Plus, just think how embarrassing it would sound later if people say 'The esteemed Mrs. Thorn never even finished her degree!'"

Damien's killing intent flared, "Anyone who dares say that will get their tongue cut out!"

Olivia: "...Was that the main point I was trying to make?"

She could only continue coaxing him patiently, "I also want to study design properly, so I can have a useful skill and easily earn an income in the future."

The next second, the man looked at her seriously, "Liv, you don't need to earn money. I will work hard to make money so you can buy anything you want."

Caught off guard by his sincere demeanor, Olivia's heart skipped a beat.

Regaining her composture, she replied, "While it's reasonable for a husband to afford his wife, a wife shouldn't be a total freeloader either."

Damien frowned slightly, "In my home, you can."

Then his deep gaze locked onto her eyes, "What did you just call me?"

Not knowing whether to feel touched or exasperated, Olivia pursed her lips, preparing her ultimate argument.

"Dami, just let me continue attending university, okay? I promise to be home by 9pm every day, no wandering around, no talking to boys. If you want, I can even call you 'hubby.'"
