Orion shuddered involuntarily. Whenever Olivia spoke in that drawling tone, he felt a wave of unease wash over him. Emerging swiftly from the shadows, he asked, "Miss Carlson, is there anything I can help you with?"

Olivia thought to herself that the chap was rather perceptive. She replied, "Take me to the hospital. I'd like to wait for Damien to finish his shift."

Orion wrestled with his thoughts for a moment but quickly acquiesced. "Very well."

Blimey, the mistress certainly had him wrapped around her little finger. He had no choice but to comply! Still, picking up Mr Thorn from the hospital wasn't such a tall order. Orion breathed a small sigh of relief.

Upon arriving at the hospital, Olivia didn't go inside. Instead, she glanced at her mobile. Quinn had messaged two minutes ago: "Two blocks away. Be there in a jiffy."

Olivia scanned the area, searching for the petite figure described in the dossier. Soon, the brash rumble of a motorcycle engine pierced the air. Olivia spotted a bright orange Triumph Street Triple rounding the corner, ridden by a girl in a black helmet. The rider swiftly parked in front of the hospital entrance and dismounted.

Olivia studied her carefully - about 5'4", short hair, oval face, delicate features, and large almond-shaped eyes like black grapes. The girl removed her helmet, her big eyes darting about, inadvertently lingering on the men around her. Olivia couldn't help but smile as she strode over. "Quinn!"

Quinn initially didn't react, but after a beat, her eyes widened comically as she gaped at Olivia. "Y-y-you're—"

Olivia leaned in close and whispered, "I'm L. We're comrades, along with HackerPrince."

"Blimey!" Quinn's voice suddenly shot up several octaves as she bounced on the spot. "You're a girl! And a gorgeous one at that! No, I mean, an absolute stunner!"

Her eyes were filled with admiration, instantly becoming Olivia's biggest fan. Olivia chuckled. This was her first face-to-face meeting with Quinn, and the adorable girl she knew online was even more endearing in person, immediately putting her at ease. "Quinn, I've asked you here today because I need a favour."

Olivia explained her request, feeling a bit sheepish. The girl before her thumped her chest confidently. "No worries! I've got you covered, whatever it is!"

Olivia couldn't help but laugh at Quinn's exaggerated bravado. She elaborated, "Well, you see... my boyfriend performed surgery today on a patient with Rh-negative blood..."

Before Olivia could finish, Quinn grabbed her hand. "Where's the operating theatre? Let's go now!"

Olivia was touched, knowing that such a great kindness needed no words of thanks. Anything she said now would be superfluous; Quinn's generosity was etched in her heart, to be repaid someday. Time was of the essence, so the two headed straight into the hospital.

As they approached the entrance to the building housing the operating theatre, they found it swarming with reporters. Hospital security and the Jackson family had already cordoned off the entrance, preventing the press from entering. They could only conduct live broadcasts from outside.

"Patricia Jackson's surgery is being performed by the city's youngest surgical specialist, Damien Thorn. While his name might not ring a bell, you may recall the 'Genius Hands' from two years ago?" Olivia overheard the reporters fawning over Damien.

"This Dr Thorn went viral on Twitter two years ago with just a photo of his gloved hands during surgery!"

"People call him 'Genius Hands', not just for their beauty, but for his ability to snatch patients from the jaws of death!"
