Olivia felt a mix of feelings in her heart. She raised the food container in her hand and said, "Orion, I'm not trying to leave. I want to go to the hospital to bring him a late-night snack. If you're not at ease, you can drive me there."

Hearing this, Orion pondered for a few seconds and silently took out the car keys.

The corners of Olivia's lips curved up as she obediently went to the back seat.

On the way to the hospital, they were silent. As they were about to arrive, Olivia suddenly thought of something and asked, "Orion, is Damien always safe at the company?"

Orion was puzzled. "What does Miss Carlson want to ask?"

Olivia said, "Nothing much. Just pay more attention to his safety."

In her previous life, perhaps due to the drug he had taken, Damien would suddenly disappear from everyone's sight, giving other members of the Thorn family an opportunity to turn the tables.

In this life, Damien hadn't taken the drug, so the past outcome shouldn't repeat itself, right?

Olivia pondered as they arrived at the hospital entrance.

She got out of the car with the food container and walked towards the surgical building based on her memory.

At this moment, the surgery had just finished, and the door was pulled open. The doctors walked out one by one, surrounded by the patients' families.

Damien was the last one. After taking off his gloves and disinfecting his hands, he immediately took out his phone.

Message box was empty. Olivia hadn't sent him any messages.

Not only did she lie about liking him, but she couldn't even bother to keep up faking it?

As suffocation welled up in his heart, a notification popped up on his phone—

[Alert: Your baby has left home for over 100 meters!]

Damien's eyes instantly froze over.

He strode out.

Perhaps because his appearance was too young and dazzling, no family members recognized him as the lead surgeon when he came out, so no one stopped him.

Damien's steps were quick, the malevolence emanating from his body compressing the air in the corridor, solidifying it inch by inch.

As he walked, he opened the tracking app installed on his phone.

"Liv, you're forcing me—" He repeated in his mind. Just as the surging malevolence reached its peak, the app displayed two dots, one red and one blue.

The red one represented Olivia, while the blue one was his current location.

The two positions were close, just a short distance apart.

At the same time, a petite figure burst into view.

Olivia stood at the corner, just two meters away from him. The moment she saw him, she immediately stretched out her arms towards him, calling out softly and sweetly, "Dami, I want a hug."

Damien's footsteps abruptly halted. His body was still filled with malevolence, but his eyes were full of astonishment.

The originally ethereal and noble man instantly emanated a sense of irresistible allure when he put on the white coat.

He looked at Olivia, who shouldn't have appeared here, and even thought he was hallucinating.

Olivia was still reaching out to him. "Hug."

She waited for a few seconds, but seeing Damien not moving, she pouted and took the initiative to close the two-meter distance to zero, hugging him.

"Dr. Thorn, you've worked hard. I brought you a late-night snack!"

A soft body entered his embrace, and the girl's sweet scent quickly replaced the smell of disinfectant in the corridor. Everything felt incredibly real—

She didn't run away. She came to see him.

For the first time, she took the initiative to see him.

Damien looked down at the top of Olivia's fluffy head, his tone a bit cold, but the corners of his lips curved up in a way he himself wasn't aware of.

"I'm not hungry."

"It's okay. I'm hungry. Eat a little with me, and then we'll go home." Olivia coaxed, taking Damien's hand and leading him to a nearby office.

Thus, Orion, who had been hidden in the shadows, watched as his originally almost explosive master rapidly transformed from a 100% combat state to a state of calmness.

Within this calmness, there was even a hint of unnatural exhilaration.
