Damien Thorn looked at the surprise in Olivia's eyes and felt a little displeased.

Why was she surprised? Last night, she had promised that if he didn't die, she would marry him!

Now, seeing the registry office, did she want to back out?

Dami's grip on Olivia's hand tightened.

The registrar, seeing this formidable figure, almost moved the prepared table next to Damien.

He quickly handed them two forms, saying, "The information is already filled out for you both. You just need to provide copies of your IDs for our records, and we can issue the marriage certificate right away!"

Hearing this, Dami frowned, "What IDs?"

Didn't they say earlier that providing the ID numbers would suffice?

The registrar broke out in a cold sweat. "My apologies, Mr. Thorn. There's a new law that requires ID copies with signatures to prevent invalid marriages."

Dami instructed his assistant, "Go to the company and get my ID."

Then he turned to Olivia, "Liv, where is your ID?"

Olivia, just recovering from the shock of the impromptu wedding, answered truthfully, "With my uncle and aunt."

Initially, when her uncle's family took over their house and company, they had kept Olivia's original ID under the pretext of needing it for company business contracts.

Hearing this, Dami's displeasure grew. He then instructed his bodyguard, "Go get her ID from them!"

Stella Pearson's birthday party had already been disrupted by Damien's sudden appearance and Evan Nolan's departure. As the Pearsons were escorting guests out, they overheard Damien's request for the ID.

Mason Pearson surveyed the situation and guessed the reason. He exchanged a glance with Megan, and they both had an idea.

"Mr. Thorn, apologies, but we're having trouble remembering where Liv's ID is. Our memory isn't what it used to be..."

Damien cut him off coldly, "My bodyguards will go with you to retrieve it!"

Mason was inwardly infuriated but could only force a smile and nod, "Very well, we appreciate the assistance."

Two bodyguards went with the Pearson family, while Damien intended to take Olivia home first. However, the young woman tugged at his sleeve, "Dami, wait a moment."

Olivia rushed over to Lily Carlson with a big smile, "Lily, you played along so well earlier!"

Lily rolled her eyes and let out a haughty huff.

Olivia continued, "I know you're probably confused about my sudden change. I have something to take care of today, but we'll talk properly on Monday at uni. I also need to ask you about something."

Lily huffed again.

Olivia smiled and poked her cheek, "Pouting all the time will give you wrinkles!"

Lily looked slightly annoyed and raised her fist as if to strike Olivia.

But before her punch could land, someone stepped between them.

Damien pulled Olivia behind him, shielding her, and fixed Lily with an icy glare.

Lily stumbled back in fright.

Olivia steadied herself and came out from behind Damien, somewhat displeased, "You can't bully my sister!"

Damien's demeanor turned even colder.

He was unhappy. He didn't like Olivia smiling at others, even her own sister.

And she had stood up to him for her sister's sake!
