With that, Olivia started, "Mwah! Mwah! Mwah..."
The man's original restlessness was soothed, and he stood there frozen, allowing the girl in front of him to kiss his lips one by one.
His face remained expressionless, but his tempestuous eyes gradually lost their dark red hue.
"Ten, plus the one I owed from before, a total of eleven!" Olivia's eyes shone brightly as she looked at Damien. "So, are you still angry, Dami?"
It was already dusk, but not yet time for the automatic sensor lights to turn on. Damien stood in the shadows, the upturned corners of his lips hidden by the twilight.
His voice was slightly stiff. "I have to go to the central hospital for a surgery."
Olivia let out an "oh" and quickly flattered him. "Dami is so amazing, the most incredible lead surgeon!"
The corners of Damien's mouth twitched almost imperceptibly, and then his eyes suddenly deepened.
He narrowed his eyes and warned, "Don't leave the villa. Be good, Liv."
With that, his gaze fell on Olivia's legs.
Olivia felt a bit helpless. How much did this man want to chop off her legs and carve them into ornaments?
However, she pretended to be obedient and nodded. "Okay."
Having received an affirmative answer, Damien finally turned to leave. But after taking a few steps, he looked back, and his eyes froze.
The sun was setting, with only a ring of warm light enveloping the horizon. His baby girl stood there, bathed in shattered gold, her features somewhat blurry. She raised her arms above her head and formed a big heart shape for him.
Seeing him look back, she even flashed him a sweet smile.
Damien was momentarily stunned. After two seconds, he finally turned and walked towards the car.
However, his ears had quietly turned red.
Olivia returned to the villa and tidied up before heading to the kitchen. Her doctor Damien had left without eating dinner, so she had to prepare something to pick him up after work.
In her previous life, her son had a poor appetite, so she had tried various ways to cook for him, honing her culinary skills. Now, cooking was a breeze for her.
Two hours later, Olivia packed all the food into containers, put on a coat, and walked outside.
As soon as she reached the villa entrance, a man emerged from the darkness.
He was wearing a baseball cap and all black, his cold, hard face devoid of any expression. He simply raised his arm to block Olivia's path, his voice calm.
"Miss Carlson, you are not allowed to leave."
Olivia wasn't surprised. When Damien was at home, his bodyguards wouldn't appear. When he left, the bodyguards would come out to restrict her freedom.
This bodyguard was named Orion, and Olivia still remembered his fate in her previous life.
In her previous life, when she was 23, Damien had disappeared for a long time.
As a result, other members of the Thorn family began to get restless, gradually encroaching on Damien's possessions. Olivia had learned about this from the news.
Because Damien hadn't come for her, Olivia had enjoyed more than half a year of freedom until Damien reappeared, his entire body covered in wounds.
Seeing him with scars all over, she retreated in fear.
However, that day, Damien didn't grab her. Instead, he only said one thing.
"I'm about to lose everything. Even Orion died from a gunshot wound while trying to save me. The freedom you wanted is almost here."
After saying that, he collapsed on the ground.
Although afraid of him, Olivia still called an ambulance and watched as he was taken away. Only then did she leave.
Afterward, the power dynamics in the Thorn family changed overnight. Damien's uncle took the position of the head of the family, and Damien disappeared again as if he had vanished into thin air.
Later, when Olivia died, the man who once had a majestic and frosty demeanor came with hollow eyes. All those once domineering and glorious pasts ultimately turned to dust...
