Ch.28

We all waited for Thomas and the Greenie "What's going on up there?!" Gally yelled "is he coming down?" I asked.

Thomas stared at me "um.... Hey listen you guys just give us a second okay?" Thomas asks.

"Can McKenna come up?" I heard a voice say.

I was confused Gally immediately put his hand on me as did Newt "Guys I'll be fine" I said looking at them.

I looked at Thomas for reassurance he nodded and I went up there.

"Alright. She's got this come on guys." Newt orders. I looked back down at Gally as he stared at me.

"Is this what all girls are like?" Frypan asks.

Gally kept watching me "Gally I'll be fine" I said not trying to scare the greenie with Gally watching us.

He finally left sighing.

Thomas helped me up from the ladder as I sat next to him and the greenie.

"I'm sorry about earlier." He said to my lip.

"It's okay." I chuckled "just don't do it again. Or you'll be in big trouble" I warned.

He nodded understanding "My names Travis" he said.

I smiled at that "He's the last one ever." He looked at us.

"What do you think that means?" He questioned us.

"I'm not sure" Thomas said.

"Ever since you came up, that box hasn't gone back down" Thomas said.

I felt eyes on me I looked ahead seeing Gally watching me.

"I just think it's got everyone a little worried. Especially Gally" Thomas said looking at Gally as well.

I smiled Gallys way and he smiled back at me.

"He thinks it's my fault?" Travis asked me.

I shook my head "No... well... maybe.. but that doesn't mean anything." I said playing with my bracelet I've had since I came up here.

"Are you sure you don't remember anything else?" Thomas asks.

Travis looked at us "I remember water. Feeling like I was drowning. These faces staring at me and this women's voice saying the same thing over and over"

"wicked is good" we all said at once. We all looked at each other.

"Ever since I've been here I've had these dreams..." Thomas admits.

I looked at him he stared at me back "Well I thought they were dreams but you." He said looking at me.

"You were there in most of them" he mentioned as I looked at him. I know he tried to tell me before but I just didn't want to believe it.

"You were also" he said looking at Travis.
"You told me that everything was going to change."

"What does it mean?" He asks.

"I dont know I just always get pieces" I didn't want to admit to them I had major dreams like that as well. But I knew I had to tell Thomas at some point I did about us. I just didn't know when.

Thomas looked at me putting a strand of hair behind my ear before touching my lips slightly with his thumb.

I winced a bit because he touched the bruise "and the others don't remember anything?" Travis asks.

"No." I looked down confused.

"Why are we all different?" Thomas asks.

Travis takes something from his pockets "these came up with me." He said. I took them in my hands.

It had the same usual initials but looked like a serum "wicked is good"
"What if us three were sent here for a reason?" Travis asks.

"Alby!" I said realizing I got up immediately going down the tower "McKenna wait!" Thomas called to me chasing me.

"Newt ! Gally!" I yelled they ran over "These could help Alby" I said.

They looked at each other before going to Alby where Clint and Jeff were.

Alby seemed to be doing worse. "We don't even know what this stuff is." Newt said looking at us.

"we don't know who sent it. Why it came up with you." He said looking at Travis.

"I mean for all we know. That this thing could kill him." Newt said scared.

"He's already dying. Look at him!" Thomas said.

Gally put his hand on my shoulder "How could this possibly make it any worse?" "Please Newt" I begged.

Newt looked at me "fine. Do it." He looked at me.

I went forward taking the serum from him.

Going up to Alby I got ready in position I looked at Gally and Newt only to hear Alby pant harder.

Alby suddenly looked at me as I looked back but he grabbed ahold of me making me scream "You shouldn't be here!" He yelled.

Newt immediately tried coming over to help as did Gally.

Alby screamed in horror "Let go!" I yelled trying to get him off.

"Gally!"
Gally and the others kept trying to pry him off me.

"Alby calm down!" Gally yelled.

"Let go!" Newt said trying to get him to let go of me they finally did "get the serum! Go!" I yelled.

Thomas got me back away from Alby quickly as the others held him down.
Travis came over and stabbed with the serum in Alby making him relax.

"You okay?" Gally asks me. I nodded now leaning into Gally. He put a protective arm around me as the others stared at us.

"Well that worked." Jeff said.

"Okay. From now on. Someone stays here and watches him around the clock! Got it?" Newt said.

Gally looks outside noticing it's night time "hey. Sun down greenie" Gally said to Thomas.

I watched them leave I knew this was going to be bad.
