McKennas POV

Everything felt blurry when I opened my eyes trying to adjust, I realized I wasn't in the Berg anymore.

I sat up immediately only to regret it feeling pain on my stomach. I clutched it realizing I was wrapped in bandages. I noticed I felt clean as well. How is this possible?

I looked around seeing I was in a little hut , is this real? Did we make it? Or is this... heaven?... I thought.

I stood up slowly walking out of the hut seeing the wind picking up.

There was so many people around, everyone that we saved. All the gladers that lived.

Wait... Newt! I started running in the opening,  "Newt?!?" I yelled. Everyone was looking at me. I didn't care I drew attention to me.

I kept calling for him, "Newt!" I looked seeing Gally who stood up along with Minho they were heading towards me, I was happy to see them but I needed to know Newt was okay, I looked behind them seeing Thomas and a person talking to him.

Thomas and the person turned looking at me, I looked seeing Newt,  he seemed as healthy as could be. Like the virus never existed.

He ran towards me immediately hugging me, I hugged him back tightly crying.

"I- I can't believe it we made it!" I laughed the Thomas and Aris came over, "How are you feeling love?" Newt smiled at me. "Great" I pulled away looking at Gally.

He hugged me immediately, "didn't think you were much of a hugger" I laughed "shut up" Gally said I smiled hugging him back tightly.

Thomas and Minho pulled me into seperate hugs next, I was happy to see my friends alive, Travis came over.

I went over hugging Travis, he looked startled for a minute before hugging me back "Glad to know you're okay" he said. "You too" I mentioned pulling away. Aris patted my shoulder I smiled at him.

Brenda and Frypan waved at me before coming over, "hey!" They both hugged me. I smiled seeing Vince nodding towards him.

"Thank you" I mouthed he smiled nodding back.

Newt wrapped his arm around me, "let's get some food" I laughed leaning into him. The others followed, I was happy this is what we all wanted. Freedom and even though we had plenty of those that were gone we still had each other.

That's all that mattered to me the most. Alby would've loved this. They all would've and Winston.

I ate my food while listening to Vince, Newt, Gally and Thomas sat next to me "We've come a long way together, so many have sacrificed so much... to make this place possible."I held Newt and Gallys hand tightly.

"Your friends... your family...." I looked at Newt.

He smiled at me, so here's to the ones who couldn't be here! Here's to the friends we lost!" I raised my glass with everyone.

For Alby.
For Winston.
For Chuck.
For Mary
For my mom.
And for many more.

"This place is for you. It's for all of us. But this." He pointed to a large rock. "This is for them."

"So on your own time, in your own way. Come make your peace and welcome to the Safe Heaven!" Vince yelled raising his glass.

We all cheered before taking a glass.

I looked at Gally he smiled at me.

I stood up moving forward while everyone watched.

I grabbed the tools to use to mark the names, I went up to the rock. I started writing my mom's name, which I figured out was May.

Then I wrote Winston's.

I wiped off the dirt and dust that came along with it putting my hand over them, everyone was soon cheering having a good time.

"I'm sorry." I whispered having my hand over Winston's name.

"McKenna?"
