Ch.25

I woke up on a random table seeing Travis and then Thomas knocked out. "Thomas!" I yelled struggling to get free.

"Thomas!!" I yelled.

Janson came over to me, "what did you do to him?!" I yelled, I felt pain in my stomach I looked down seeing I was shot.

Travis was next to Thomas, I noticed him wake up he looked at me. "Thomas!" I yelled.

"Do you know what this place is Thomas?" Janson asked.

Thomas looked at Janson and me,  "it's a lifeboat." Janson said.

"Let her go" Thomas ordered Janson continued to speak ignoring him, "and the whole world might be sinking. But doesn't mean that we have to go down with it." Janson said.

Thomas moved trying to get out, "how much longer?" Janson asked.
I tried getting out as well, "you better not touch her!" Thomas yelled.

"It's almost done" Travis replied.

Janson smirks before touching twirling my hair , "why not? He said "she's dying anyway. Slowly but surely." He smiled.

"That's what you always wanted right Travis?" Janson asked, I looked at Travis in shock.

"Why didn't you just kill me instead?" Thomas asked. "I wanted you to suffer. Watching your loved one die." Janson smiled coming up to Thomas.

I struggled to get free.

Thomas glared at him, "we'll keep you alive so you can watch" Thomas tried getting free.
"You will give life to the rest of us." Janson said.
"Ones we choose to save anyway." He commented looking at me.

Janson took a tool and pressed the button turning it on, "of course there's not gonna be enough for everyone" "leave him alone!" I shouted.

Janson slapped me hard. "Hard choices are gonna have to be made" he yelled. "In time, the Flare virus will burn itself out." Thomas kept trying to get out
"The only question is... who will be the ones left standing?" He asked.

I felt my lip bleeding as I touched it slightly.

Janson took whatever Travis had "thanks to you to this." He held up a tiny liquid bottle.

"We finally got to choose. The future" he put the serum in the tool.

"For our own making." I felt my eyes slowly shutting "McKenna stay with me!" Thomas yelled.

Janson pulled his arm up, he was bit.... "to your health"

I watched Travis take a vase before hitting Janson over the head breaking the glass.

Janson fell hard on the ground, Travis took the serum "okay, let's get you both out of here" I was surprised to see him helping us.

"Come on!" Travis yelled trying to get the tape off.

"TRAVIS!" I yelled seeing Janson stand up, it was too late when he grabbed him, "NO!" I yelled. Travis threw me the serum I caught trying to hide it in my pants pocket.

Janson threw Travis over the table knocking him out.

I tried breaking free, Janson beat me too it by taking me out of the cuffs.

He grabbed ahold of me slamming me on the ground, I screamed in pain grabbing ahold of my stomach trying to crawl away. "GIVE IT TO ME!" Janson pulled me by my legs.

"LEAVE HER ALONE!" Thomas yelled.

Janson grabbed me by my hair "give it to me!" He slammed my head on the table "MCKENNA!" I heard before I blacked out.

Thomas POV
I watched her struggling fighting him, I need to get free. I need to protect her.

Travis was knocked out now, I watched as Janson slammed her head on the table "MCKENNA!" I screamed.

I got free running towards him, I tackled him through the glass we both slammed hard on the floor.

I started punching him but he pushed me away, I stood up only for him to punch me. I hit back harder.

I kept punching him with anger. He went against the wall I tried grabbing him from behind but he went to swing at me missing, when I ducked.
He hit me the second time making me fall down.

I suddenly felt his arms wrap around me choking me making me choke. My lungs were immediate closing up on me.

I grabbed ahold of the tie trying to get it loose.
Janson let go making me catch my breath I turned around seeing me that McKenna was fighting him, Janson punched her but she stood up "come on" Janson encouraged.

She yelled clutching her stomach before punching him, she tackled him to the ground and started punching him repeatedly.

Janson wrestled with her before throwing her off him.

She slammed her head hard into the wall making me stand up, "okay." Janson held out the gun towards her "now, Thomas can watch you suffer."

McKennas POV

I put my hand on the back of my head feeling it bleeding now, I backed towards the wall "do it then" I encouraged.

Suddenly an explosion went off making me scream, more explosions kept going towards the building.

Thomas helped me stand up taking Travis with us.

I didn't know why we trusted Travis, but he was helping us in the end or so I hoped.

I followed Travis the best I could Thomas had my arm around his shoulder.

I felt myself falling a few times feeling weaker "McKenna stay with me!" Thomas yelled.

Thomas looked back, " McKenna, Travis down!" He pulled us into another direction to take cover while Janson shot at us.

Thomas pulled me into a room "just let me die" I gasped for breath "you guys live. I can't keep holding you back" I said.

"No we're not leaving you!" Thomas yelled.
I looked seeing cranks in the cell.

"We need to get out of here" Travis said.

"What's wrong?" Travis asked.
I felt everything getting dizzy, I collapsed on the ground "McKenna! Stay with me!" Thomas yelled. "McKenna!" Thomas yelled.
"She got shot again" Travis said looking at it.

I could feel myself slowly dying. If only I could see Gally and Newt one last time.

"Okay. We need to help her fast!" Travis said. I shook my head.

"No its okay" I said "maybe it's better this way"
"You guys are free or will be" I laughed but stopped feeling pain.
Travis kept looking around along with Thomas.
"Here here" Travis found some patches and tried putting it against the wounds.

I groaned from the pain.

"Just put pressure on it hold it." "Travis it's too late" I said shaking my head. "It's not you were encouraging Newt the entire time to live! He has something to live for and so do you!" Thomas yelled at me.

"I'm sorry Thomas"I whispered.
