Ch.7

TW: Panic attack and Anxiety

"Right now!" Newt yelled he held me behind him. "Fry, now!" Thomas yelled urgently . The crank kept getting closer I kept trying to pull Newt back.' "Come on, what are you doing?" Thomas asks Frypan.

Frypan seemed to be searching for something, "we gotta move!" "Fry come on!" I yelled.

"Hold on!" Fry yelled at me.

The crank was almost up to us, "Fry we gotta go, come on!" Thomas yelled soon Frypan pulled out a shot gun shooting it.

It soon fell down assuming it was dead "shit Fry." I said putting my hands on the side of my head.

My heart was pounding with adrenaline. "Nice shot, Fry."  "Thanks."
I heard more Cranks "fuck!" I yelled a few more started heading towards us roaring.

"Okay. We gotta go." Newt grabbed my hand I started stepping backwards him and Thomas following.

Frypan stepped forward shooting them, we started running "RUN COME ON! LETS GO!"

"FRY LEAVE THEM!" I yelled "THERES TOO MANY!" I shouted while running.

"Woah woah woah!" Thomas stopped us seeing more on the other side.
"I barely escaped from it." I whispered.

"Watch out" Newt said.

He held my hand tightly, "Fry you got em?" Thomas asked.

Frypan started shooting where we came from, "okay this way this way!" Thomas urged.

Frypan shot the direction we had to leave from.
But, I knew we would run out of bullets there isn't any way possible we wouldn't.

"Other way!" Frypan kept switching sides, he soon ran out.

My breathing started picking up feeling like a frog was in my throat. Like I couldn't breathe. My hands were shaking. I tightened my grip on Newts hand.

"Shit!" I yelled "IM OUT!" Frypan yelled.
"Oh shit!" Thomas yelled.

More cranks was coming, Newt pulled me close to him. If I was going to die at least I was with the ones I loved. I heard a loud noise, a jeep pulled up running over cranks, I smiled feeling relieved.

Brenda stood up "HEY GET IN!" She shouted.

I got in quickly I  sat in between Thomas and Newt, Frypan in the back.

Brenda continued to shoot at some of the cranks.

"GO JORGE GO!" Thomas shouted.

"GO!" Brenda yells sitting down.

Jorge took off I looked behind seeing them chase us, Newt turned my head to face him "look at me love only me." I was shaking slightly from my adrenaline and felt like I was almost having a panic attack.

He pulled me in a hug which felt really nice and calming, my breathing soon, went back to normal.

I felt someone rubbing my back I looked seeing it was Thomas with concern. I only smiled slightly.

Jorge was out of the tunnel, he pulled his window down.

"I'm impressed you guys almost lasted a whole day." Jorge said.

Newt laid my head on his chest while Thomas held my hand.

"You good?" Thomas asked Newt.
"Yeah." He said looking down at me smiling.

Branda turned to us she smiled at me looking me up and down.

She continued to shake her head at me before biting her lip, "I'm sorry I didn't wanna bring you guys into this." Thomas spoke up.

Brenda looks at me, "I think what he's trying to say is thanks for saving us." Thomas smiled down at me I smiled back.
"You're welcome" Brenda smiled at me before facing forward.
Maybe Brenda doesn't hate me anymore.

I smiled at that.

"Don't get your hopes up. The checkpoint back there, that was the city's last defense." Jorge mentions.

"If that was overrun, chances are the city, is too." Jorge continued.

Newt looked out the window, "McKenna look!" He pointed I looked out smiling it was a beautiful view. "That is also unless they figured out some other way to keep the cranks out." Newt said.

Thomas looked over, Jorge soon stopped immediately.

Newt grabbed my hand helping me out I went over looking at the view.

The Last City

"Funny" "we've spent three years trapped behind walls, trying to break out and now we wanna break back in" Newt said.
"Yeah, it's hilarious" Frypan said.

I nodded agreeing.

"Jorge how do we get in?" Thomas asked him.

"Don't look at me, hermano those walls are new. I guess that's WICKEDS answer for everything."

"Well we ain't gonna figure it out from up here"

"She's right I say we go find a way in" I said.

Brenda smiled at me, "let's go" she shouted

The others got in but I stood out Newt comes up to me, "you really think he's in there?" Newt asks.

"I guess we'll find out. I don't know why but I have a good feeling. That something is going to happen. For once that's good." I said looking at Newt he looked at me questioningly. "You know Travis is gonna be there too" he said reminding me.
