Ch.19

He was silent "what did he say?" I asked "it's nothing." He said I sighed. I had a feeling Thomas was upset with me, I knew why or I thought I did. Brenda came over looking at me so I went away.

"You're in love with her aren't you?" I heard Brenda ask. "Always will be" I heard him say I smiled a little going to Gally.

He started handing me gear that we needed, I put some of it on over my clothes with him helping me.

"Remember McKenna you can't save everyone." Gally suddenly said looking at me before handing me my helmet.

I looked at him surprised he said that. "Stay with me or Thomas and please don't do anything stupid." He said before walking away.

I looked over at Newt, while I felt eyes staring at me.

Gally stopped and came over grabbing ahold of my face gently before kissing me I kissed him back.

"Just for good luck" he mumbled smiling.

I smiled looking at him. "Good luck." I whispered.

Thomas came through the building doors in guard uniform along with Travis both Newt and I walked up to them.
I stared at Travis for a moment, Thomas nodded too us.

Newt gently pulled me to lead the way with him.

We went down a flight of stairs. I really didn't know where we were going so I trusted Newt and Thomas.

I don't know how people work in these big buildings. I tried being as calm and not noticeable as possible.

A guard came up in front of us which I noticed was Gally he turned his head and looked at me.

We made it in the room Travis used his thumb on the scanner before we walked in.

I had my gun up immediately walking through.

We went downstairs, "hold on hold on" Gally ordered he looked at the electrical wires.
"I can get in here." He lifted his helmet to see. "Stay there throw me the walkie" Gally threw one at Thomas he caught it and went downstairs.

I lifted my helmet up so I could breathe better.

Newt was above me a little on the stairs and started coughing.
I stared at him wide eyed. "Newt" "it's nothing" Newt said.

He turned from me a bit, I went over "you sure?" I asked he nodded.
"Frypan were in how are you doing?" I watched Gally try to break through the metal box.

"Yeah. I'm getting there" Frypan said.
"Tell Minho. Hi for me"

I smiled at that, "hang in there buddy" Thomas looked at me.

Gally got the door of the box open, he started messing with the wires. "This'll work" I looked at Gally confused.

"Brenda what's your status?" Thomas asked.

"Status is I'm working on it."

"Copy just make sure you're already on your end."

"Don't worry. You know I'm gonna be there." Brenda said.

Gally put something attached to the door before closing he grabbed my hand pulling me with him, "let's go!"

Thomas took us down another hallway Gally leading me with him.

The door opened revealing a guard with his mask off. He looked at me in shock before I shot him.

I continued shooting at the others moving forward.

Gally, Thomas and Newt joined in.

All the men were falling down. I went to a door and opened it the kids looked at me scared before I took my mask off. "You guys are okay! Come on!" I yelled.

All the other doors opened, but I realized Minho was no where. I looked at Thomas he looked angry realizing the same thing.
"Come on let's go. Newt check the other cell." Thomas said.

More kids came out of the doors, that we released. Gally pulled a man up from the ground pointing a gun at him "the vault?" How do I get in?" He asked. He pointed his gun on the persons neck harder.

"You can't." The man said.

Gally dropped him moving to the door.
"guys this might take some time" Gally said putting a bag down.

I looked at Travis feeling anger build up inside me, "where is he?!" I yelled grabbing ahold of him.
"You said he would be here!" I shouted.

Travis looked at me frightened "I don't know-"

I shoved Travis, "YOU DO KNOW NOW TELL ME!" I yelled.

Gally looked at me while he worked on the door I looked back at him trying to be calm but I couldn't be. We promised Minho we would save him. I was keeping that promise. "McKenna calm down we will find him!" Thomas tried bringing me away from him.

I stared at him with pure anger before letting Travis go. Travis went to the computers quickly.

"Somebody moved him up to the medical wing." Travis said.

"Thomas, that's on the other side of the building" I grabbed my helmet.
"You're taking us too him right now" I ordered him.

"Alright I'm coming with you" Newt said "no you stay here with Gally for the serum. You promised me." I said looking at him.
"You can't do this on your own. Minho comes first remember?" He asked.

"Just go! We're waisting time!" Gally yelled.
"I'll get the serum, we'll meet you out back."

"Fine. Come on. Gally be safe please!" I shouted before running with them. He smiled at me.
