Ch.29

Thomas POV

I looked at McKenna hesitantly before leaving apparently, Minho convinced Gally to set her free for the night.

Gally and I walked in silence but I had to ask him something. Why did he hate me so much? I knew part of it was McKenna because I know he knows I liked her. I wasn't going to deny I had strong feelings for her.

I was going to do everything I could for her to fall for me.

"Hey what is your problem with me?" I asked Gally confidently.

"Everything started going wrong the minute you showed up. First Ben attacking McKenna, then Alby. Now, the boy knowing McKenna....."He said. "Not only that. I know you like McKenna, so I'm telling you this once" he stopped in front of me.

"Back off. She's mine and only mine. I know you remember before the maze about her I'm not stupid." Gally said glaring.
"You may have her wrapped around your little finger now but it won't be for long."

I stared at him shocked but only glared back "who said she was only yours?" I said stepping forward.

He glared at me before shoving me in the pit below I grunted as I landed.

Gally started locking the door up so I couldn't get out. "Gally. You know you can't keep me away from her. We all know why." I said looking at our wrists.

Gally glared at me even more "you also know we can't stay here forever right?" I asked.

"Eventually McKennas going to want to leave. Don't you want her to be free? Out of here with the rest of us?" I asked.

He looked at me one last time before leaving.

I sighed sitting back. It was going to be a long night.
The past few days I realized McKenna and I were soulmates as well as Gally and Newt. I knew they were too.

I wasn't blinded I seen the way they all react around her. It's like a weird connection bond I have. I feel protected of her like she's my own person.

And I want her all to myself.

I feel a lot of the same things she does emotionally whenever something is going on.

I know she wants to leave but doesn't know how.

I heard footsteps "who's there?" I called out.

McKennas POV

I watched Gally leave as I brought food with Chuck to give to Thomas.

"Who's there?" Thomas called out.

I sat in front of the door "Just us" I said looking at him he smiled putting his hand out for me to grab which I took smiling back. "Sorry. "Hey guys" "I got you food" I mentioned handing it to him and Chuck handed him bread.

"Here, I know you run better on a full stomach" Chuck said.

Thomas immediately started eating as if he hasn't in ages. "Thank you guys." Thomas said with a mouthful.

Chuck was looking at something in his hand I decided to let them talk for a bit, so I walked away.

It was getting close to the ending I knew that I had a feeling. I believed Thomas could get us out I had to convince him to get Gally to go with us.

When Chuck left I came over "Hey.." I said "hey." He whispered.

"I know you know the way out. Or at least feel it." I said looking at him he looked down "I have a feeling I do. But I have to convince Minho to help me figure it out." He said.

I smiled reaching for his hand he held it back "About your question" I said. He looked at me "Maybe I do like you. I honestly don't really know. I feel like I'm being pulled in three different directions." I said laughing a bit.

"I don't want to hurt anyone." "You won't." He said moving forward getting closer to the door that separated us.
"I hurt Newt before who's to say I can't hurt you?" I said.

He looked down. "We'll all figure it out" he said touching my cheek gently.

"Thomas. I like Gally." I said looking at him he stared at me confused.

"I know...... it's whatever this thing is. But I also know I love all of you." I said breathing a breath I didn't know I held in.

Thomas looked at me in my eyes before kissing me through the gate of the door that was big enough to do so.

I kissed back gently he kept trying to depend the kiss and I agreed to it by doing so but before pulling away fully I said "I also remember some things.." I looked at him.
"I remember us before the maze. But I also remember Gally and Newt." I mentioned.
