Ch.37

When Gally fell I ran over crying and holding him "Gally no,no please!" I begged while shaking him.

"Gally you went after me! Please we made it..." I whimpered gripping ahold of him.

I felt my heart shattering into a million pieces as everything felt blurry in the background, I heard Thomas faint screaming and crying but I didn't care to pay attention.
I knew I'd regret doing so but my main focus was Gally the love of my life, who was dying in front of me.

"I love you! I'm sorry!" I cried out.

I held him tightly in my arms wailing while putting my head on his. He looked like he wasn't breathing and that made me cry harder.

I couldn't believe he's actually leaving me like this.

I was suddenly being pulled away "McKenna!" I heard my name being called by Newt but I struggled against the persons grip trying to reach Gally "NO, NO LET ME GO!"

"I CANT LEAVE HIM!" I screamed fighting to get to him.

"GALLY GET UP WERE FREE!" I screamed while crying.

"GALLY!" His eyes stared at me watching me leave him, where he was.

Laying there lifeless....
I knew then... he was gone..

The people were dragging me out of the passage way and threw me on the ground because of how much I was struggling so much.
Newt held me close to him as we walked onto the helicopter I knew now Chuck was dead. That made me cry harder as we got on.

"You guys alright?" The man asks I looked up at him.

Thomas looked at me as I stayed close to Newt he held me protectively.

"Don't worry. You're safe now." I had a feeling he was wrong.

We were in the air and I looked over seeing the maze itself.

"Relax kid, everything is going to change." The man said to me.

Maybe we were free? But I wished it had been a different way. But everything happens for a reason.

I knew that now.

It was over.

Or so I thought.
