Ch.23

I tried grabbing Newt but fell flat on the ground gasping "MCKENNA!" Newt shouted wide eyed with Thomas stood there for a moment wide eye but came over quickly.

Minho stood in shock along with a few others where Brenda and Travis gave each other knowing looks almost.

Newt grabbed ahold of me, "McKenna" he whispered scared shaking me.

I felt like I couldn't breathe my lungs were closing up, the others came over trying to help Newt and Thomas.
"Newt" I barely let out.

Newt held me in his arms. "McKenna talk to me" I whimpered "I'm sorry. I'm sorry" I said looking at Newt and Thomas.

Thomas looked scared he bent down to me trying to figure out what's wrong.

Vince came over "what's going on with her?" He asked.
"I don't know" Newt said. I looked at Travis and Brenda who stared at me not knowing what to do.

"McKenna are you alright" I felt my eyes shutting as I was gasping for air.

"McKenna talk to me please! My love look at me!" Newt was shouting at me scared.

"McKenna!" Thomas said getting worried now.

The man moved my pant leg which revealed the veins popping out and a bite mark, he suddenly jumped up with a gun pointing at me "oh SHIT CRANK!"
He yelled everyone had their guns pointing at me.

I was gasping for breath. This is what Winston felt I deserved this.

"NO!" Newt screamed.

Thomas started yelling along with the others "NO NO NO!" Thomas yelled standing in front of me.

"Step back step back!"
Vince ordered Thomas.

"Listen to me!" Thomas said. "This just happened!" Thomas said "you sure?! Because she seemed to be hiding it from you!" Vince said I was looking at Newt whispering I'm sorry repeatedly.

"She's not dangerous yet! Please she's all I have left!" Thomas yelled begging.
"Well you shouldn't have brought her here!" The man yelled.

Newt was being taken away from me as I laid their gasping for breath. I felt like I was suffocating. My body was being taken over by something I didn't want it to. I looked at Minho who looked like he desperately wanted to help me. I closed my eyes not wanting to look at anyone. I didn't want them to feel pain for me.

"I know I ..."
Thomas said hesitantly "we let cranks in here now?" Vince asks. "The safe haven doesn't last a week!"

"Step back!" Newt was shouting at the man repeatedly to leave me alone and don't touch her.

"I understand okay I understand right just just listen to me please please okay? She's all I have left I need her." Thomas begged.
"Can't you help her?" He asks.

I kept gasping for breath feeling more weaker by the minute.

"Please I love her" Thomas said. "There's gotta be something that you can do!" He asked again.

"There is by putting her out of her misery" he threatened  before going to shoot.

My eyes went wide I didn't want to die.

But maybe this was the only way....

"NO! NO!" Newt and Minho were yelling now.

"VINCE!" A women yelled stopping him.

"That's enough! Let him go!"
The women spoke up.

They let Newt go he came over to me quickly holding me again.

"She's infected doc. There's nothing we can do for her". The women looked at Thomas and the others smiling.

She looked at me for a few seconds smiling "no but he can." The Doctor looked at Thomas.

"Hello Thomas." The women said.
"What?" Thomas asked confused.

"You know me?" He asked.
