Ch.9

McKennas POV
"I'm here love" Newt held my hand tightly.
I don't know what was going on I just remember the Doctors doing tests and then I blacked out.

"You're never going to get away with this!"
The women said as Frypan tied her up.

I was confused "what's going on?" I asked worried.

Thomas looked at me and started helping me sit up "you gotta get up right now come on"
He said gently, Newt took the tubes off my face which felt weird to have them off.

"Guys they're coming what do we do?!" Travis yells.

"Frypan move!"
Newt shouts going over.

"Newt!" I called out worried, as I grabbed ahold of Thomas.

Newt shoved the table over, Frypan and Minho
helped him set the table in front of the door.

The doors were trying to be open, Newt grabbed my hand tightly, Thomas started pulling me to come back with him.

"Get back get back!"
Minho yells to us.

A man yelled, "they've got the door barricaded"
"Send backup!"

"Thomas what do we do?" I asked looking around.

"We gotta get out of here, where do we go?!" Minho yells also.

"McKenna get back!" Thomas yells, picking up a chair.

Newt holds me close to him, while Thomas starts smashing the window with the chair.

The window soon broke, I grabbed a blanket and put it over the window so nobody, would get glass on them or in them.

Thomas was already over at that point "come on come on!" He orders.
Thomas helped me as Newt had ahold of my waist hoisting me over.

Minho threw Thomas his gun back and I helped Newt quickly.

"Stay behind me!" Thomas ordered us.

We all went out the door but a man stopped us, I grabbed Newts hand tightly being scared.

Newt held me close to him, when Thomas had his gun and shot him. The man fell backwards shaking from electricity bolts.

"Shit. Okay come on!" Thomas yells.

I ran with Newt besides me and everyone following close behind, we made it down the main hallway to the exit "there it is there it is!"
Thomas shouts.

All of us ran to the door "coverage to level 3" I heard overhead. "All R-16 personnel"

I gripped Newts hand tightly as I felt my hand and his being sweaty from being scared and running.

Thomas kept swiping the card but it wasn't working.

"Come on come on!" I laid my head against Newts chest "we're not going to make it"
I whispered. "No, no no!" Thomas freaked out.

"McKenna!" I heard I turned around seeing Janson and a few guards.

Newts hands gripped tightly on me as Thomas shoved me more behind him.

Thomas got his gun going forward "Thomas no!" I shouted.

"Open this door Janson!" Thomas shouted.
Janson raised his hands speaking "You really don't want me to."

"OPEN THE DAMN DOOR!" Thomas screams.

"Listen to me!"
Janson yells "we want the girl"

"She's not going with you!" Thomas yells.

Minho kept trying to swipe the card quick.

I held onto Newt afraid this would be the last time seeing him again.

"I'm trying to save her and your guys lives!" He says. "The Maze is one thing, but you kids wouldn't last one day...out in the Scorch." The man continued.

"If the elements don't kill you, the Cranks will." Janson said.

Janson looks at Thomas trying to reason with him, I hoped he wouldn't fall for anything he said "Thomas, you have to believe me that McKenna will be okay and you all will! I only want what's best for you."

"Yeah, let me guess WICKED is good?" Thomas asked.

Janson lowered his hands "you're not getting through that door Thomas and McKenna is mine." He said.

The door beeped open "THOMAS!"
I yelled he looked back at me.

Aris and Winston showed up behind the door "hey guys!" Aris said happily.

"Come on!" Minho yells.

Newt pulls me with him "THOMAS!" I yelled again.

"come on let's go!" Newt yells.

Thomas started shooting until he ran out of bullets he threw the gun on the ground running, the door started to close "NO! THOMAS COME ON!" I screamed.

"THOMAS! HURRY!" I kept screaming with the others trying to get him to hurry up.

"You can do it Thomas!"

"Thomas what's going on?" I asked still being confused.
He slid under the door just in time I helped him up holding him close to me grateful he's okay.

"Move move!" Aris broke the password key to get in.

Janson banged on the door pissed while staring at me and Thomas, Newt started pulling me with him again when Thomas flipped Janson off.
