Ch.10

"You little shit" Janson said angrily "come on Thomas let's go!" Minho yells I ran with Newt Thomans soon catching up.

"Keep moving!" Thomas yelled we were all trying to back track where we came from as the alarms went off.

Thomas continued to shout to encourage us, I continued to grip Newts hand afraid to lose him.

We made it to big main doors, I looked at Thomas confused on how we would leave.

Thomas quickly pulled the lever on the side of the door which opened it I looked at Newt, who looked at me back smiling sadly.

The wind was really heavy and dirt was everywhere from the desert I covered my face "come on!" Thomas started dragging me now with him.

It took all of us a minute but we were further away from the place on a hill. "Fan out!" Alright come on keep going!"

I almost fell a few times due to the wind picking up and the pressure of everything going on.

It was hard climbing up I was already exhausted, "shit" I heard Thomas say "grab my hand" I took it as he helped me move faster.

"Come on go! We'll lose them in the storm!" He comments I looked back seeing most of the guards on vehicles to look for us.

At some point Thomas had us all go down on the ground hiding from them, I looked seeing most of them with flashlights looking for us.

I didn't know what Thomas plan was. There wasn't many places to hide.

"Everybody go go go!" Thomas urged as I seen they were getting closer to us we all quickly started moving again but remained low.

I started running "McKenna hang on a second stay together!" Thomas shouted "I think we lost them!" I was a little ahead of them as they caught up to me.

A few times I stumbled "McKenna!"
Thomas said "I'm fine" I called back as I stood up looking around.

"Where are we even going?" I tried looking for a way in, I felt someone behind me as they had their hand on my waist as if guiding me but I stopped.

"Guys!" I said I found a broken window.

"Come on" I said "McKenna wait!" Thomas shouted. "McKenna don't go in there!" Newt tried stopping me but I went in anyways.

They have to trust me.

"No!" I heard Minho yell "get down here!" I yelled back.

"Okay, come on" I seen most of them slide down to me.

I caught Newt as he almost fell "let's go fry!" Thomas said.

It looked really abandoned... like this place hasn't been used in years because it was covered by the desert.

That's what scared me.

What happened here??
"Can you hold onto this" I didn't know what was going on still, I looked around and towards the group.

Travis has been very quiet since the entire incident with the maze which made me question him a lot.

Minho had a flashlight looking around, "stay close to me" Newt whispered to me I held his hand tightly smiling a bit.

"Or me" Thomas budded in I blushed looking down "where the hell are we?" Minho asked.

"Well it's obviously abandoned, looked like it hasn't been used in years" I whispered looking around.

"We gotta go" Thomas said quickly.

"What?" I asked him.

"No thomas stop!" I ordered

I looked at him he looked back  "Tell me what's going on"

Thomas came up to me "it's Wicked" he mentioned.

"It's wicked they lied to us." He said. I was confused. "We never escaped" "what?" I asked.

"Me and Aris we found bodies, too many to count." "What do you mean dead bodies?" Minho asks.

"No, but they weren't alive either. I thought I seen you. I was worried. But.." he said looking around "but what?" I asked.

"They had them strung up. With tubes coming out of them" Travis put his hand behind his neck weirdly.

"They were being drained. There's something inside of us that wicked wants." He said looking at me.

I looked at him startled "why would they want us?" I asked.

"it's something in our blood they want." He said looking around.

Thomas looked at Newt "so we have to get as far away from them as possible."

Newt nodded "okay. So what's the plan?" Newt asks.

Thomas shook his head "you do have a plan right?" Newt asks.

"Yeah I don't know." Thomas replied shaking his head.

"Well, we followed you out here, Thomas and now you're saying that you have no idea where we're going .... And what we're doing?!" Newt almost shouted.

"Wait" Aris spoke up.
