Thomas POV
I tried getting Aris to run and hide while I hid behind a pole.

Janson and another guy walked in "you sure this can't wait?" Janson asks.

I moved quietly to the other side so they wouldn't see or hear me, "she was very specific, sir. She wanted to speak with you personally"

"As if I don't have enough to deal with" Janson comments annoyed.

"Just uh, bear with me." The man mentions. "I'm getting some new interferences with the storm"

"Come on, it's good enough" Janson says.

"Make the connection"

I watched the screen soon, showed up with a women. That women... wait.

"Good evening Doctor Paige." Janson greeted smiling. "Lovely to see you again. Although, I admit. I...I wasn't expecting to hear from you quite so soon." Janson hesitated.

"Why yes, you have my daughter... why wouldn't it? I'll be arriving a little sooner, than expected. To see her. First thing tomorrow"She said.

"Daughter?" I whispered.

"Oh uh.. your daughter yeah... she is in good hands, she was really well in the tests." He smiled awkwardly. "We also would be delighted to have you. I think you'll be pleased with how she's turned out."

"Does she remember me yet?" She asked standing up.

"No.... She doesn't remember anything from her past life that we know of not even me, but we're going to get to that we just got done with the other tests." he said.

"Good McKenna, will be working with us soon I'm sure of it. I also want her memories of the glade erased. We can't have her... betraying us." the women smiled.

"What?" I questioned confused whispering.
She's her mother?.... I can't let her know that. She would be broken.... No way is she going to work with them. I need to escape with her and the others before they touch her.

"I have to get her out of here" I thought.

"Will do. We've made a lot of progress recently, as you can see early results have been extremely promising." Janson continued.
"Whatever it is, you've been doing to them in there. It's working." He comments.

"Not well enough" the women said. "I just received board approval. I want all the remaining subjects and prepared for harvest by the time I arrive." The women said.

"Doctor Paige, we are going as fast as we can. We are still running tests." "Try something faster. Until I can guarantee their security this is the best plan."the women said finally.

"Ma'am security is my job. We're on 24 hour lockdown here." Janson replied. "I am assuring you... the assets are secure." Janson said.

The women looked at him "have you found the Right Arm?" She asks.

"Not yet. We tracked them as far as the mountains." Janson said.

"So they're still out there!" The women seemed irritated. I knew why I always felt protective now it was because of them.

"And they've already hit two of our installations" the women said.

I looked at Aris "they want these kids as badly as we do." She said "McKenna is a target because she is my daughter I must keep her safe especially from the others." The women said "and I cannot lose her again" the women spoke coming forward. "Not now when I am so close to a cure."

"If you are not up to the task, I will find someone who is." She reminded "that won't be necessary. Might, I suggest we start with the most recent arrivals." He suggests.
The women sat down "just get it done. I'll be visiting McKenna, first thing in the morning remember that." She said. "I don't care what you have to do to her for her to remember me but do it." She orders.

Janson was about to leave "Janson." She stopped him "I don't want them to feel any pain... especially her." She said.

"She won't feel a thing." He smiled.

Janson left and the women soon disappeared.

I needed to get her out fast. I was panicking. I started crawling through the vents fast while grunting. I can't believe she's her mother HER MOTHER. The women we thought killed herself.

McKenna would be livid if she knew. I don't want her to remember them or our past as I did.

I don't want her to forget me or any of us.

I have to keep going and fast.

I finally got through the vent "Thomas!"
