Randy also told the different couple that they did not pay because of bad credit, turns out, one of them stole it to pay the home video.
The next day, Jack Duckworth spends the night on the roof of No.7 in pursuit of his pigeon Fergie when Curly Watts shuts his observatory roof and locks him out there.
Three days later, Deirdre Barlow returns to Coronation Street after several months away taking care of her mother Blanche Hunt.
The next day, Viv Windsor's ex-husband and Scott Windsor's father Reg Dawson and his gang rob the post office, kidnap Viv and cause an explosion which injures Joe Sugden. Alan Turner is shot during the process. Ricky and Janine Butcher have a car crash, but both come out alive.
Another next day, Denise Osbourne tells Ken Barlow that she's expecting his baby.
Another next day, Shirley Turner is taken hostage by Reg Dawson and his gang. One of the raiders, John Francis, is seriously injured after crashing his car.
Five days later, Reg Dawson's fellow gang member Simmy is run over by Bernard McAllister. Later, Simmy is shot dead by Reg Dawson, mistaking him for a police officer when Simmy jumps through a window. Grant Mitchell attacks David following him flirting with Sharon.
