On April 2, Mike Baldwin confronts Don Brennan over the factory fire and is shocked when Don proudly admits to doing it out of revenge.
The next day, Tom Bainbridge has been exiled England and moved to America, according to Kyle. Kurt Benson is arrested on suspicion of the attempted murder of Spike.
Another next day, Fiona Middleton and Alan McKenna hold an engagement party where Andy McDonald causes a scene.
Two days later, Mike Baldwin attempts to trick Don Brennan into confessing to torching his factory, but this is foiled when Don sees through his ruse.
The next day, Derek Wilton dies after a heart attack caused by a row with another motorist on his way home for his wife Mavis's birthday party. Mavis is devastated when she is informed.
Four days later, Lorry driver Ron Harris makes a forceful play for a scared Audrey Roberts when she is alone in Jim's Cafe. Mike Baldwin is cleared from suspicion of setting fire to his factory and later receives full payment from the insurance company. Don Brennan, who set fire to Mike's factory in an act of revenge weeks ago, is outraged when Mike informs him about it.
Three days later, Derek Wilton is buried. Mavis is upset at Norris Cole's impromptu and insensitive "tribute" speech. Kyle asked Mavis a question about Derek's passing. Dennis Richardson arrived to tell Narvel about his bad lucks.
Two days later, A drunk Don Brennan picks up Alma Baldwin in his taxi, still intent with getting his revenge on Mike Baldwin more than ever.
The next day, Ricky Butcher and Bianca Jackson get married.
Another next day, A crazed Don Brennan drives his taxi with Alma Baldwin as his captive passenger into Weatherfield Canal.
Two days later, Alma Baldwin frees herself from Don Brennan's car after he drives it into the canal. Both are hospitalized. Martin and Gail Platt are summoned to the hospital and learn about what happened just as Mike Baldwin also finds out, after which Martin stops Mike from attacking Don in his hospital bed.
The next day, Dot Cotton returns to Walford. Terry Duckworth meets his baby son Brad Armstrong for the first time. Gail disowns Don Brennan after he tried to kill her best friend Alma Baldwin a day ago. She later tells Alma along with Mike and Martin about how Don was previously responsible for harassing Denise Osbourne with phone calls while still married to his late wife Ivy Tilsley back in 1993.
Four days later, Jack Duckworth traps Terry to prove to Vera that he was going to run off with the takings from the Rovers.
Two days later, Brody smokes his cigarettes for the first time and Harold told him not to. Don Brennan is charged by the police for attempted murder in light of kidnapping Alma and trying to kill her over a week ago.
The next day, Don Brennan sets up Ashley Peacock to take the rap for the fire at Mike Baldwin's factory. Darren Osborne told Randy that he's going to America.
