On January 1, Natasha Andersen's cousin Ruth Osborne arrives in the village to stay with the Andersens.
Three days later, Albert Dingle and Kenny Dillon are arrested, having been set up by Zak Dingle. Sandra Fowler's boyfriend Rick forces himself into Betty Eagleton's house and tries to force Sandra to return home with him but Sandra's son Biff fights him.
Another three days later, Keith and his buddies were playing bowling.
The next day, Ken Barlow and Denise Osbourne get engaged.
Two days later, Don Brennan buys No.5 for £12,000.
Four days later, Keith's new neighbors were bullies, a couple and their ADHD son, they had a restraining order forever for 1000 feet, moves out of the house and was replaced by an older couple.
Three days later, Tricia Armstrong is sent to Styal Prison for a week for not paying her TV licence.
Five days later, Carol Groves joins her friend Lucy Benson, her brother Kurt and his date Ruth Osborne at an outing to a bowling alley. This is the same bowling place were Keith and his buddies were playing 15 days prior.
The next day, Biff Fowler proposes to Linda Glover.
Two days later, Chris Tate reveals Dave Glover's affair with Kim Tate to the Glovers.
Four days later, Stephen Reid, the son who Audrey Roberts put up for adoption, visits Weatherfield and meets his mother as well as his half-sister Gail Platt for the first time.
The next day, Scott Windsor is confronted by his parents Vic and Viv after his sisters Kelly and Donna watch one of his video nasties. They question him about him missing school and then discover that he bought a hunting rifle. Donna is accidentally shot in the face when Scott tries to wrestle the gun out of Vic's hands. Narvel believes that he had a buddy, whose face is shot by the bartender back in 1978, the bartender is closing his bar down due to his arrest.
