On April 1, Greg Kelly arrives in Weatherfield looking for his father, Les Battersby. Tony Cairns confronts Zoe Tate over her affair with his wife, but it begins to get violent when Tony punches Paddy Kirk and pins Zoe to the wall. He is stopped by his wife when she throws a vase at him and slaps him.

The next day, Dee Pollard discovers that her mother has died. She leaves her husband Eric when he admits that he has been withholding letters and phone calls from her.

Three days later, Les Battersby accepts that Greg Kelly is his son.

The next day, Coping badly with life in prison, Deirdre Rachid is taken to the hospital wing.

Another next day, Dee Pollard leaves the village and returns to the Philippines. Eric tries to mow down Will Cairns but is stopped by Terry Woods.

Two days later, Scott Windsor returns from the army on leave. Suffering from post-natal depression, Cindy Cunningham attempts to suffocate her daughter, Holly, but is stopped in time by her sister, Jude.

The next day, Ken Barlow is approached by Mary Docherty who is able to prove Deirdre Rachid innocent of her fraud conviction. Angie Freeman leaves Weatherfield.

Two days later, Mary Docherty gives Ken Barlow and Mike Baldwin the evidence they need to appeal against Deirdre Rachid's fraud conviction.

The next day, Nick Tilsley comes face-to-face with his father's killer when convicted murderer Darren Whateley gives a talk on his life in Strangeways Jail at Granston Technical College.

Three days later, Sam Dingle throws Jez Hudson into a table at The Woolpack and is later arrested for assault.

The next day, The Court of Appeal releases Deirdre Rachid on bail. Shannon Tattersall dies from meningitis.

Four days later, Sam Dingle is charged with assaulting Jez Hudson.

The next day, Steve McDonald refuses to help his drunken father Jim by giving him a job.

Two days later, A drunken Jim McDonald falls off some scaffolding after a fight with his son, Steve.

Another two days later, After falling off the scaffolding, the doctors fear that Jim McDonald may be in a permanent coma.

The next day, Zoe Tattersall, unstable after the death of Shannon, hits Emily Bishop when she offers her sympathies to her.

Two days later, Forced by Vera Duckworth, Jack sees a hypnotherapist for help with stopping smoking but he uses the session to con everyone that he has been regressed into a past life - "Lusty Jack", an Eighteenth Century rake.
