MARCH
"Come on, Ryan." I smirk as I lean my shoulder against the lockers next to me. "You've seen what I can do. Do you really want to test me?" I ask the boy in front of me.
"You know this is like blackmail, right?" He sighs as he pulls his phone out of his pocket and starts tapping the screen.
"No, this isn't like blackmail, Ryan. This is blackmail." I smile sweetly up at him. "You really should study more." I suggest as my phone vibrates with a new notification.
"You're not as sweet as everyone thinks, you know." He mutters, putting his phone back in his pocket as I pull mine out.
"And you're not as smart as everyone thinks you are." I wink at him.
"Whatever. We done? I have to get to practice." He glares at me.
"Yep. We're good." I say after I check my messages. He turns to walk away. "Have a nice day, Ryan!" I call out after him with a sweet voice.
I look back down at my phone and smile as I add the attachment Ryan just sent me to the folder I've been making. I push off the lockers and turn to start walking back to my own locker as I label the attachment, but before I get very far a hand reaches out and spins me back around.
"What the hell was that, Tiana?!" Nico says angrily as he pulls me to face him.
"Nico! You scared me." I gasp at his sudden actions. "Please let go, that hurts." I say, looking down at his hand gripping my left forearm.
He looks down at his hand and immediately releases his grip on me. I breathe a sigh of relief. The last thing I need is another freaking injury or more suspicious bruises.
"Sorry." He takes a breath and a small step back. "But what the hell were you just doing, flirting with Ryan Sanchez?" He bites out.
"What?" I ask, shaking my head as I reel at his words. "I was not flirting with him, Nico."
"Tiana, I saw you! I was right down the hall and I could see the way you were looking at him!" Nico says, raising his voice.
"Nico, if you want to talk about this here, I need you to lower your voice." I say quietly as I look around at the students walking down the hall.
Nico takes a deep breath, trying to calm himself before he speaks.
"I saw you smile and fucking wink at him, Tiana." Nico says through clenched teeth.
"But it's obvious that you couldn't hear us, because I wasn't flirting with him, Nico." I say slowly. "I was threatening him, babe." His face drops into a look of confusion at my words.
