Today was going to be a new beginning. This was the day that Shirakumo Mizuko had been looking forward to since the day she got her quirk- her first day of being a student at U.A.
She was a late bloomer - her quirk didn't come until she was 8. She remembered being picked on for dreaming about being a hero while being quirkless. Girls can be such awful bullies.
She didn't defy the odds, she crushed them. You see, Mizuko didn't even need to go to the entrance exam. She was one of the few recommended students for the hero course. No one was prouder than her parents. Especially her father, Shirakumo Moya, Oboro's brother. He wanted nothing more in the world for her to be a hero. Moya stopped at nothing to reach his dream of his daughter being a hero...

This is it. I can't believe it's here! I will have to thank Selkie for that recommendation letter. I still can't get over the fact that someone decided to not to pursue their U.A. recommendation. I mean who gives that up? I thought I would be doomed to the entrance exam as an alternate!
Mizuko was taking in the all the scenery while stepping onto campus. So many kids with all different quirks. She was wondering what all they were and how they would help people in the future and what their dreams were.
She was walking along the main entrance that was covered with flowers in bloom. She had to find the entrance to her classroom- 1A. She clutched her bag and dug her nails hard into the straps as she bit her lip. She couldn't let people know she was scared. She was one of the recommended students so people were going to give her plenty of attention- which she wasn't a fan of.
As she was walking she noticed something rather someone out of the corner of her eye. It was a boy her age with green hair- the boy that was on the news with the Sludge Villain! He ran to help his friend with no hesitation. She wanted to ask him about how he had the bravery but she wasn't the best at approaching new people. She just walked away thinking how she couldn't wait to be as brave as he was that day.
She walked down the hall of the building and passed 1C, 1B, and finally reached her destination- 1A.
When she opened the door she saw so many new faces. She sighed and tried to relax. Making new friends is hard when you are afraid everyone will hate you. Not to mention- it didn't end well for the last Shirakumo that went to UA.
She eyed the room. She saw the class was filled with people that already claimed their seats. There were two spots open. One next to a girl with pink skin that wouldn't stop talking and a boy with distinct red and white hair that kept looking down at his desk. For this introvert, it was no question.
She walked up to the guy and asked "He-Hello. Is this seat taken?"
He looked up and just shook his head "No." She thought to herself that she is even more talkative than that. She then dropped her black school bag on the floor and claimed her desk. She reached down and got her notebook out and a pen.
She was waiting for class to begin. She had five minutes to see who would be teaching her class. But while she waiting she was thinking to herself.
You know what. This year- no these next 3 years- will be like nothing before. I'm tired of being the quiet bullied girl. I was accepted as a recommendation student and I know none of these students. It's a fresh start. I can be me without fear of my childhood bullies. Plus we all have the same goal- to be a hero.
She smiled to herself and mustered up the courage to turn to her new classmate. She stretched out her hand and said, "You know it's nice to meet you especially since we will be sitting next to each other all year. My name is Shirakumo Mizuko and I'm excited to be a hero that helps people!"
