Not Your Daughter Anymore

It had been a few weeks since Mizuko ran away. She had changed into her hero costume that Fuyumi had fixed and left her school uniform behind on the ground. She didn't want to be connected with UA anymore. She didn't want them to be hurt because of her. She didn't want her friends to be associated with the enemy of public now.

Mizuko was focusing her energy on trying to show the public she was a good hero with no association with All For One.

Her eyes were now dark and heavy and not full of the light she once had. Her bones and muscles were achy as she was constantly fighting and detaining villains. She got little sleep as she had to sleep with one eye open.

Got to keep going....

"Hey! It's All For One's Pet!" Some low life jailbreaker yelled out to her as he spotted her flying by on her cloud.

Mizuko peered down and looked at where the voice came from. It was a lone thug. He was gruff and was eyeing up Mizuko. Mizuko then flew down to the ground and planted her feet. Her icy eyes stared him down.

"Be careful, Mizuko." She could hear Oboro whisper in the back of her mind. She's been able to hear him more often and he's been trying his damndest to protect All For One from feeding off her negative energy.

"I will..." She whispered under her breathe as she slowly stepped forward to the thug.

The thug grabbed the knife from his pocket and pointed it at her with malice on his face.

"You think I'll get a reward if I hand you over to All For One? Heard he wants his little pet back" The thug teased her not thinking of Mizuko as a strong opponent.

Mizuko sighed and put her hand to cheek as she shook her head at him. She whispered under her breath, "Deep Sea...."

She created a fierce current of ocean water behind her. The thug felt a lump grow in his throat as he was now intimidated by her power up close.

She controlled the raging water to then encircle his body and squeezing him tightly all around.

"Ice Prison." She said cooly as then tightened her fist controlling the water.

On command, she froze the water surrounding him and he was frozen in place from the neck down. She pointed at the thug in the newly created ice sculpture to conjure up a cloud beneath him so she could transport him back to the police station. 

"Yo-you're insane!!" The thug chattered through his teeth as Mizuko flew with him to the police station.

"Perhaps. But perhaps, you should've never broken out of jail and this would've never happened. One thing you should know, I'll never be All For One's pet. I am a hero." She said stoically. She wanted to prove she was still a hero despite the public's opinion of her.

It wasn't long before they made it to their destination. Police were lining the perimeter and she tossed the thug down to them as all of them, except one lone officer, pointed their weapons at her. It was nothing new to her. Just casually helping round up all the villains while they still were terrified of her.

"Another thug down. Please make sure he doesn't escape. I'll be off." She said lowly as she went to fly away after being threatened by the police.

Officer Nishimura gently reached out and grabbed her arm. She turned around and formed a light curve of a smile as she had interactions with him before. It was the closest thing to her looking happy in a while. For some reason, he didn't fear her. He never feared her. In fact, he felt sorry for the fact she was facing all this scrutiny.

"Hey kid. The wife made an extra meal for you. Take it. You need to build up your strength." He offered her the meal he packaged up for her as his whole family knew she was truly not a monster.
