Day Itt GENESIS

Chapter 7 - Itt's New World

Itt was in States for two years. His father came back after settling him with his cousin Pim.

He joined Business course there to continue his education. Itt's father had to use some influence to get him admitted mid term. 

It was difficult for Itt as he tried to adjust in the foreign country. His therapy sessions continued there and his condition became much better. There was major transformation in his personality as from being spoiled , cheerful , fun loving brat ; he turned to calm, introvert and loner.

He started studying hard and became one of the top scorers in college. He did not make any friends except one , Mac. 

Mac has similar personality as prior version of Itt except he is more of a bully than friendly. Mac was intrigued by Itt who never tried to make any friends or talk to anyone. He just used to come to college and leave without interacting with anyone.

One day he was being bullied by an American boy Tom in his college campus and Itt wanted to avoid any conflict so did not retaliate when he received racist remarks from him.  Itt started moving fast to leave the college but the American kid's aggressive behaviour gained him more watchers who started having fun. Itt would have punched the boy had it been before,  but now he just don't want to attract any attention towards him. Itt just tried to ignore and continued walking when Tom put his hand on Itt's shoulder to stop him making Itt tremble.

Itt really hated being touched and was trying hard to control his tears and not breakdown when Mac came.  He jolted the American boy's hand from Itt's shoulder and pushed him.  Mac warned the boy that he will complain the college authorities for bullying making Tom and his friends laugh in mockery. Mac was not huge built but his body language showed confidence. He took out his phone and showed the video he recorded when Itt was being bullied making whole group to step back.  He held Itt's arm and walked out of  the college.

Itt started to feel relived  but was still shaking a little which Mac could feel. Mac went to a near-by shop and bought a bottle of water and handed over to Itt.

Itt took few sips then looked at Mac "Thank you"

Mac extended his hand "I am Mac" and smiled and Itt responded by shaking hand "Itt".

"Where do you live? I will drop you" Mac asked Itt in calm voice. Itt hesitated as he still did not know him well. Mac took out his ID card and showed to Itt "I am also Thai. It's good to have people from your country you can trust"

"But .. But you can't trust all Thai people too " Itt said after some thought.

"Hmm Deep... agree there are good and bad people everywhere but I want to be your friend" Mac  responded.

Itt was thinking something when Mac held his hand and dragged him to parking " Not all people are bad. Sit in car.

Itt did not get much time to think as  Mac started the car and started honking. To avoid people's attention he sat in car. Also deep down he felt good that Mac helped him but the memories of Day helping him was also vivid making it difficult for Itt to trust anyone.  Mac dropped Itt in his car. Next day Mac was standing outside his house to pick him up for college. 

Since that day Mac started daily picking up and dropping Itt. They started sitting together in college. Itt was reserved in nature but started opening up with Mac who kept pushing and provoking him to speak. Itt had been skipping meals in college but now Mac started dragging him to cafeteria. That's how their friendship started.

Itt started smiling a little on Mac's jokes.  Prior this only time he used to laugh and have some fun was with Salmon, who is  3 yr old Pim's son. 

 It's been already  1 year since he was staying in Sates and seeing Itt's change in behaviour, Pim updated his parents making them happy as they were always stressed about him. Pim and other cousins who always knew Itt as notorious kid were also worried  and kept trying different ways to provoke him to get back to normal but nothing worked.
