Day Itt GENESIS

Chapter 35

Day took Itt to his home. Night was at Gear's place so they were alone.

Day pointed on the couch  and said in deep voice "Sit" as he looked at Itt. Then he pulled the chair to sit infront of him.

"Now tell me why you put yourself in danger like this" Day said sternly staring at Itt.

"Uhh.. what ?" Itt was confused.

"Do you not notice your surrounding or what others doing around you?" Day said little loudly.

"Ahh.. I..." Itt was trying to figure out what he did as he was really clueless.

Day saw Itt's expression and shook his head "Why didn't you move away or called Nan's sub ordinates."

"uhhh I didn't get a chance.." Itt said.

"Weren't they trying to provoke you for a while" Day asked.

"I.. I was watching race ....so did not notice" Itt said in a low voice.

Day was so angry trying to curb himself not to lose his temper on Itt  and said  little loud "This is the reason you get into so many troubles..racetrack, snooker room , Pete...and " He took a pause and added "Including me"

Itt looked at Day stupefied.

Day was clenching his fist. He got up and went out in the balcony and took out a cigarette from the pack and lit it and started smoking. 

Itt saw Day's back and felt strange. He was little dazed and finding it hard to understand his own emotions and also confused about what Day was thinking.

He sat quietly in his thoughts when after sometime Day came back and saw Itt lost not aware of Day's presence.

Day called Itt's name and he did not react. Day called again but no reaction again. Then he went near him and placed his hand on Itt's shoulder, he was startled and jumped from the couch.

"Calm down it's me" Day thought he made him frightened. Itt nodded little confused and then asked him "Why did you bring me here?"

"I don't know I just want to protect you." Day murmured in a low voice.

"What?" Itt asked as he was unable to hear clearly.

"I was angry on you for being so careless" Day changed his words.

"So you brought me here? to yell? " Itt shouted in surprise.

"Hmm" Day gave more confusing response when Itt looked at him little annoyed.

"Go take shower and change. Let's sleep then" Day said to change the topic.

"No drop me home" Itt said as he was unable to understand what's going on. 

"You are staying with me tonight and don't argue further" Day said sternly and went near his small bar at the corner and picked one scotch bottle. He poured a little in glass and started drinking. Now Itt was getting angry seeing Day's indifferent reaction "Why I have to stay with you?"

Day was silent. Itt moved towards door as Day was quick to ask "Where are you going?"

"I am leaving" Itt said loudly in anger.

"Stay with me" Day said in low voice but loud enough for Itt to hear. Itt looked back and saw Day's expression who was looking at him without blinking.

"It's too late. You can leave tomorrow morning" Day added to stop him further. Itt thought for a while and agreed in mind that it was too late and anyways he cannot take cab alone.

Itt came back and sat on the couch and sighed and then looked at Day who was drinking "I want one"

Day was about to say no when Itt added "I am only staying if you let me drink." Day reluctantly made one drink for Itt and handed him.
