Chapter 12 - Not Itt's day

Nick called early in the morning and Itt picked the call without checking the name as he was still half asleep. Nick was too loud " Itt my friend , finally you picked the call"

Itt instinctively  moved the phone away from his ear as it was like someone speaking on loud speaker. "Nick can you speak little softly. I just woke up" Itt said in hoarse voice making Nick laugh. He invited Itt for the party today evening as Neil and Nick were back together again after their one month breakup . Though it was common in their on and off relationship but Nick always threw party when they got back together. This time since Itt was also in town so he invited him as well.

 Itt was hesitant but agreed as Nick was melodramatic enough on call . He reminded him of old days when he used to be his best friend and when Itt used to get drunk in his pub where he was bartender every other day.  Itt had no choice but to agree to him. "By the way who all are coming to the party" Itt asked. 

"Gear, Four..." and before he could hear complete answer his phone battery died. Itt cursed but got up to get ready for the factory as per daily routine when his father knocked the door and asked him to another factory which they opened little outskirts of Bangkok and it can accommodate more cars.

The whole route had lot of traffic and he reached after almost 2 hrs.  As soon as he reached factory, one of the client was creating ruckus for not timely delivery of vehicles. Itt tried to calm him and told that he will look into the issue and reason but client was not ready to listen and pushed him hard. Itt fell on the floor and his workers immediately came to assist Itt to get up. Itt still calmly handled the situation asking client to give him 10 minutes. He spoke to his workers and figured out the vehicles were old and to meet the requirement of accessories , they have to make few adjustments in the car.  Itt explained to client the reason  and told that they were not charging extra for making the adjustments but Client still threw a fit unreasonably. Itt did not want to escalate the issue as other customers have started coming in the workshop. Eventually  Itt gave some additional discount making client pacify and leave.

Itt went to his office and opened his laptop to go through contracts but felt pain in his wrist. One of his senior employee Mr Pha who has been working with Itt's father since beginning came in to check on Itt if he got hurt. He handed him coffee and asked if he is fine. Itt said he is fine but as soon as he picked the cup of coffee, he groaned in pain. Pha noticed same and  checked Itt's wrist to see it was little blue and swelling was also there. He asked Itt to go to doctor but Itt declined saying it is not serious and just a sprain should be fine in a day or two. Pha knows Itt is too stubborn to agree so he got first aid box and bandaged his wrist.

Itt was struggling with his hand whole day and was in pain but did not reflect to others. Mac had not met Itt since few days and when checked with him he is in another factory , he brought lunch for Itt  to eat at factory itself. Mr Pha who knows Mac is Itt's good friend. Also he knew Mac is  only one who can force him for lunch and Itt gives in to him mostly.  Pha told him about the incident and asked him to take it to doctor.

Mac listening to him immediately dragged Itt out to hospital where after X-ray it was found the wrist was fractured. Doctor put wrist cast and gave him pain killers and asked him to get it checked up after 4 weeks. Itt did not like the idea of wearing cast but he had no choice and he was in too much pain. Mac reprimanded him a little for being careless.

Mac then asked if he should drop him home but Itt was adamant to get back to work he went to the factory and had lunch with him. He told Itt that he will come back in evening to take him to home as it will be difficult for him to drive. Itt declined stating he can drive or else he will ask any of his employee to drop him if needed. 

Itt managed to work when in evening he started receiving messages from Nick. He was still in dilemma if he should go or not . His subconscious was telling that he might encounter Day there but he overcame it by thinking may be it was just  his misunderstanding as neither Nick or Gear introduced Day to him. Itt thought even he has an excuse on injuring his wrist but instead of calling and saying no he decided to go.

Little late in evening, Itt got a bottle of wine and went to Nick's house as he had kept party only for closed group of friends. He was managed to drive but only issue was he was in pain but after having painkiller he was fine.

Itt rang the door bell and Gear opened the door who greeted Itt with warm hug. As he entered, Four and Gus were already sitting on couch.  There was one unknown person sitting on chair  whom he was seeing for the first time. 

"Hey Itt , it's so difficult to see you these days" Four said while getting up to hug him.

"P'Itt what happened to your hand" Gus said loudly with concern when both Four and Gear noticed same and looked at Itt.

"Ah.. this just small accident." Itt said nonchalantly and asked "Where is Nick?" 

Nick listening to Gus voice came out  from kitchen and Night followed him bringing snacks . Nick went near Itt and held his hand with cast "What happened?"

"It's nothing just small fracture" Itt again said casually and handed him wine and said "Congratulations"

"Oh right let me introduce " Nick said while pointing towards Neil sitting on chair separately "He is my boyfriend Neil " Itt smiled and greeted him and so did Neil  "And this my old friend Itt who used to be my best friend but not anymore" Nick added with some drama making a sad face.

Itt smiled a little .  "Just ignore him " Gear said and made him sit on the couch while Gear dragged a chair to sit next to him. Itt was relaxed that he did not encounter Day and thought it might be just his misunderstanding. 

They all sat drinking and chit-chatting.  Itt has started speaking more since their last meeting. Gear did not allow him to drink alcohol as he was injured and was taking medicines. Instead Night got him soft drink and Itt thanked him. The awkwardness between Night and Itt has reduced. 

"When is P'Day coming" Gus asked Night who looked at Neil that he might be aware.

"Who is Day?" Itt asked.

"He is Night's Brother and Neil's friend" Gear said And Itt just nodded.

The bell rang ..."Oh he is here" Neil added and got up to open the door.

Day entered and Itt turned to see him as his back was facing the door. Itt's face turned pale , he got up in panic and collided with the table infront. He saw Day coming inside and he moved backward. Day was also shocked to see Itt as he was not expecting him to be here. 

"Don't..... don't ... don't come near me" It screamed. Everyone was confused as they looked at Itt and Day. Day stopped "Itt I am going out. Please calm down."

"No... I am going  out. I am going out" Itt's voice suddenly became too low as he suddenly felt too weak.

Gear was also confused but stepped in "Itt calm down . I will take you home"

"No .. No .. I will go" Itt shouted again in panic and showed his palm to Gear to stop him to come near him as he was not sure whom to trust and suddenly sat on the ground as he felt like he has no energy left in him.

He was trembling and tears coming out of his eyes, his face was pale.

"Itt please tell what happened?" Nick said with concern and then looked at Day  and said "Why he is scared of you?"

"I.. I .." Day was not sure what to tell.

Itt took out his phone from his pocket  and his hand fumbled dropping the phone and dialled Mac who did not pick the phone. Itt was breathing heavily , Gear, Four and Nick tried to calm him but he did not allow anyone near him  and his mind was unable to process their words.  Then Itt dialled his masked friend with name registered as "P Neil" in his phone and Day's phone ranged. Day  took out the phone to check ,the call got disconnected as Itt dropped his phone. Itt again dialled and Day's phone rang again who took out his phone and everyone just looked between Itt and Day.

"You... You...." Itt pointed finger at Day and fainted dropping on floor completely flat.
