Day Itt GENESIS

Chapter 10 - New friend

Itt ordered iced americano and Day followed "I will take the same". Itt turned to see the guy and he was wearing mask and hoodie making it not possible for Itt to recognise. 

After both of them received the ordered coffee, they  immediately left to sit in their respective cars. They started driving and Day was keeping his distance to avoid any suspicions. 

When one jeep with 4-5 boys tried overtaking Itt and started provoking him. It seems most of the boys were in college and drunk. Itt slowed down to let them overtake but they slammed their jeep on  his car from side making Itt's car to skid a little. Itt rolled down his car window to scold them. But one unruly boy threw a glass bottle on Itt which hit his forehead just saving the eye. Itt was startled and almost lost control on car. Day speeded his car immediately to come between Itt's car and jeep and slammed the jeep. They shouted on Day to curse but Day warned them that he will report to police making them speeding further to avoid Day.

Itt managed to park on the roadside. Day noticed same and parked little ahead. He really wanted to see if Itt is fine so he stepped out of car and approached Itt and saw his forehead was bleeding. He knocked on the car window. Itt got little scared by seeing the masked guy. 

"Are you ok?" Day asked.

"Ya Yeah.. yes I am fine... " Itt stammered a bit.

Day could see Itt was nervous " I saw those guys troubling you so just wanted to check"

"Thank you. I saw you intervened" Itt responded.

"Can I help you with your wound." Day asked

"Ah... That... that... I am ok" Itt stuttered.

"You are bleeding. Do you have first aid box" Day asked

Itt shook his head gesturing no. Also he was uncertain if he should take help.

Day immediately went to his car and got the first aid box "Let me help you."

Itt opened his car door in hesitation. Day stood in front of him making Itt turn sideways. He cleaned the wound and applied band aid.

"That's it.. Done" Day said.

"Thank you again" Itt responded.

"Ok Drive safely... Bye.." Day said and turned to leave as he did not want to scare Itt.

Itt smiled and after composing himself back , he started driving again. 

Day was driving ahead but kept glancing at Itt through his rearview mirror. After a while he saw Itt stopped mid-road itself. Some of the cars honked but went ahead from different lane. He got out and tried asking for help but was very awkward in reaching out to people. The cars from behind were honking making him rush. Day observed the situation and took a U- turn and parked at the side. He stepped out and went near Itt .

Itt was happy to see some one he recognise "Ah ... Sir... my car broke down .. Can you help please to move to the side."

Day nodded and gestured the approaching cars to stop with his hand. Then immediately started pushing the car to the side of the road along with Itt. It was a small distance and they were able to move car quickly.

"Sir  thank you for your help again" Itt bowed a little to pay respect and he was genuinely thankful.

"Should I get any mechanic here" Day asked.

"I think I can fix it." Itt said and opened the car hood. Day just stood there on the side.

"Sir you can leave, you already helped me few times today."

"That's ok you can check your car. If anything needed I can assist." Day responded.

Itt started checking the wires. He cleaned the connectors and re- plugged. Itt's hands were too smooth in checking the car details and in no time he went back and started the car and it worked.  Day was amused to see how adept Itt was with car details.
