Day Itt GENESIS

Chapter 20

Gear dropped Itt to the office and immediately tried calling Day again but no luck.  He contacted one of his friend who can assist him in tracing the mobile and got to know the last location his phone was active was near the place he picked Itt. 

Gear called Neil and told about the whole situation. Neil involved Nan too who sent his subordinates immediately in that area. 

After few hours one of Nan's subordinate updated Day's car was found in one nearby garage and was smashed from front. Nan called Neil and Gear ; and they went there without any delay. Nan checked the car and saw the phone  broken below the car seat. They started tracing further and found through some locals that Day met with accident and was taken to the hospital.

All three were worried listening same and surprised that they did not have any clue about it since two days. They  hurried to the hospital.

Nan was still parking when Gear and Neil ran inside hospital and after telling the details , a hospital staff told patient left in morning itself though he had not recovered yet. 

Gear and Neil were clueless on what to do next and went back to Nan and told same. Gear asked Neil and Nan if they are aware of any contacts from Day's mafia time. 

"I have seen couple of them with Day but do not know directly. Let me try to find. Though Night might know the contacts" Neil said.

"Hmm how should I tell this to Night, he will start panicking" Gear said in low voice while thinking.

"Do not tell Night yet. Let's check some more. He left hospital today itself so might be back" Neil added and Nan was also in agreement. Gear nodded and they left for Bangkok as it was getting dark. 

During their way back to Bangkok, Gear suddenly recalled he had to pick up Itt, he called him immediately only to know  "I just left and going back home. Do not worry I am fine" Itt said.

"What .. Itt you are aware Day told to stay low for few days.  Why can't you just listen to me when I told, you will not travel alone" Gear shouted making Neil turn his head to see while Nan who was driving peeked through the rearview mirror.

"I .. I was waiting... but I thought....may be ..." Itt was surprised as Gear never shouts like that. Gear was already worried about Day and he felt that he is responsible for Itt's safety having known the whole situation.

"I know I am late.. as I was searching...." Gear switched his tone to soft after realising he was too harsh when he listened Itt's stuttering and saw Neil's wide eyes.

"What ?" Itt did not understand but subconsciously he thought he went to search for Day as Gear told in the morning.

"Nothing... Where are you exactly?" Gear asked.

"I just started 5 mins back so just couple of km from office" Itt said.

"Go back and wait for me in office and call me once you reach. I will be there in little more than an hour" Gear said.

"But... may be you overthinking. I can handle" Itt said in low  voice.

"Itt just go back. I am not in mood to argue right now" Gear said again in harsh tone as he could not control his frustration. He was worried about how he will handle Night's questions. He was concerned about Day and of course he cannot be careless about  Itt's safety.

"Hmmm.. ok " Itt gave a shot response as he was unable to understand Gear's mood.

"Ok call back once you are inside office" Gear added and disconnected.

"What's wrong?" Nan asked.

" It totally skipped my mind that I had to pick Brick up". Gear said and then added "Day told Itt should not travel alone as those people who are behind Day have seen Itt's face so he might be in danger." Gear told Nan who was not aware of complete conversation.

"Should I send my subordinates" Nan asked

"No it should be fine if he is inside office. There are guards" Gear said as he thought.

They were all silent when Gear's phone beeped and Itt messaged he has reached. Gear called to confirm and reiterating to stay inside office.

After a while "Do you think Day is in danger?"  Gear asked.

"Day can handle stuff more than we think. Do not worry much" Neil said.

"I will try to find details of his boss and contact some of his friends in case he reached out. Nan have someone check in case Day comes back to get his car. And Gear... you  try to check Night's phone if you can find any contacts" Neil laid next steps and all agreed.

"Oh ..." Nan shrieked making Gear and Neil look at him "I picked P'Day's phone from his car but it's broken else we can find the contacts easily" Nan added.

"Hand over to me I will see if it can be fixed" Gear added. They all agreed with plan when Gear asked Nan to first go to Itt's office as he guided him the route.

They reached Itt's office and Gear called him but Itt did not pick the call.

"Pick the call. Pick the call Dammit!" Gear mumbled worriedly  as he continued to call. "I will go inside and get him" Gear told Neil and Nan and went inside the office.

He saw one of the guard was on phone and other talking to the technician infront of the elevator which seemed to be broken as it was wide open and only halfway.

Gear ran up the stairs panicking to the fifth floor. He was almost breathless. He went inside Itt's office and smashed the door to  open and found Itt's phone was on the table. He called IIt's name loudly "Itt... Itt.." when Itt came from outside running.

"Where were you? Why were you not picking the call?" Gear shouted.

Itt was sweating a lot and his face was pale.

"Are you ok?" Gear asked and hurried went near Itt and started checking his hands and turned his body to see if he has any wounds.

"I am ok" Itt said in low voice.

"Why are you so pale. What happened?"

"I just felt someone was outside and guards were not picking the call so I went outside to check but elevator was not working and I saw some shadow" Itt told in one go and took a pause.

"I guess I panicked. I am ok" Itt said when Gear hugged him "You are fine" They stood there for a minute till Gear felt Itt had calmed down.

"Let's go and today you staying at my place. " Gear said as he held Itt's hand and picked his phone from table and started walking towards stairs.

"No I can stay at my home" Itt argued.

"I am not giving you any choice" Gear said as they went down where Neil and Nan were waiting.
