Day Itt GENESIS

Chapter 38

Day was spooning Itt the whole night. As he woke up he found Itt in his embrace. Day smiled thinking Itt was the one who called him yesterday and muttered "Have you started trusting me."

He pulled Itt closer tightening his grip around him but it made Itt whimper a little in protest.

"Itt.." Day called with a frown  but there was no reaction from Itt.

"Your body is warm. You caught fever" Day mumbled as he continued to cuddle him.

Day laid like that for a while then leaned on his arm  to get up from bed . He moved Itt's head to the pillow slowly trying his best not to disturb him.

He took shower and then made breakfast and came back to the room and saw Itt was still sleeping. He did not wake him up and let him rest.

He picked the cigarette box from the table and went to the balcony to smoke. 

 Itt woke up after a while and looked around realising he was in Day's house. He recalled yesterday's events as he noticed Day standing in the balcony. He kept looking at Day's back and saw smoke swirls. Itt was questioning himself if what he was doing is right. He knew Day has been trying but it's Itt who was pushing him away. His mind was still conflicted if he should let go but at the same time he was unable to forget how difficult his life was since that incident. He knew it was his childhood trauma which made it worse for him but Day was responsible for triggering all his bad memories.

 Itt kept staring at smoke swirls and soon his  mind started drifting to the incident when he just turned teenager and he took the cab to go back home. In order to pass the time Itt started playing game on his mobile and when he realized the cab has stopped, he raised his head to look around and all he could see swirl of smoke coming out from the factory chimney.  He called the driver and spoke innocently "Mister I think you took the wrong route" and the driver turned back and smiled hideously. 

The driver stepped out and opened the door of back seat where Itt was sitting confused and not understanding what the driver was going to do.

Itt was now finding it hard to breathe and swirl of smoke was dominating his mind.

Day sighed heavily thinking he will be devastated if he lose Itt now. Yesterday gave him some hope that Itt has started trusting him. He felt he should not give up and shook himself to give him some energy. He decided to wake Itt up for breakfast as he stubbed butt in an ashtray.

He turned back to open the balcony door only to see Itt's eyes on him.

"You are up" Day said smiling and then he realised something is wrong. Itt's face was pale and he was struggling to breathe.

Day rushed towards Itt and he pushed Day away.

"Itt what happen ..are you ok" Day still tried to get close to Itt treading cautiously as he did not want to scare Itt. 

Itt's mind was fuzzy.

Day have seen Itt like this. He ran to the kitchen and fortunately he had the medicines which Itt used to take. He came back and saw Itt frightened and tears streaming down his cheeks and struggling to breathe. Day made him take medicine inspite of his protests and held him tight embracing him stroking his back.

After a while Itt's sob started diminishing and Day felt Itt's weight shifting more towards him and Itt's hand tightening his embrace around Day's waist but his body was still trembling.

Day kept stroking Itt's back  and spoke softly "Itt are you ok". He was confused what triggered Itt's panic attack. He was under impression Itt's mental health was improving and he has not seen him like this since long.
