Day Itt GENESIS

Chapter 26

Day got up with a frown on his face and hand on his waist at the back "Itt why did you kick me?" he asked in confused voice still perplexed as he just woke up.

Itt was also in dazed state "I .. I don't know " he said while ruffling his hair to think.

"You were so near" Itt added in muffled voice as he adjusted his bathrobe. 

"Are you feeling fine? Does it hurt anywhere?" Day asked thinking Itt's body might be hurting today.

"Wha.. What? You fell on the floor. Why are you asking me?" came a pat reply from Itt.

Day shook his head "I mean are you sore from yesterday's wounds."

Itt responded in firm voice "No I am all ok" without thinking. Day nodded and did not say anything more as he saw Itt getting down from bed. As Itt put booth feet on floor and stood up , he stumbled and groaned in pain. Day rushed towards him and helped him to get up and sit on the bed.

Day checked his ankle and saw it was swollen more than yesterday. As he pressed a little to gauge severity,  Itt shouted back "Ahh... don't touch"

"And who said he is all ok" Day mumbled in his mouth.

"What?"  Itt looked to see Day's face little irritated as he heard him.

"Nothing" Day gave a short response and then called room service to ask if they can arrange icepack. In no time an attendant came and told they did not have icepack but instead gave  ice cubes in small bucket. Day took same and put ice cubes in towel and pressed it against Itt's ankle "Sit back and hold this". Itt did not argue back and did as Day said.

Meanwhile, Day took shower and came out wearing his old clothes. 

"Is it better now" Day asked as he saw Itt making faces as he pressed the ice towel against it. Itt nodded and asked "When are we leaving ?"

Day responded "we can leave after breakfast" feeling glum as he was liking the time he was spending with Itt .

Day was not worried about the rival gang anymore as he had already slipped information to police about the gang, before he left the factory with Itt and he knew they might be either hiding or dealing with police.

They both left for Bangkok  and on Itt's insistence Day dropped him at his house. Though Gear  called couple of times to bring Itt to his house but Itt was bit stubborn and Day did not force him. 

A week passed and both of them have recovered and in better health now. They did not contact each other at all but their emotions have been conflicting them. 

Day has been longing to see or know about Itt. He doesn't express but in case he hears Gear or Four talking about Itt, he keenly listens. 

Itt on the other hand do not have bitter feelings towards Day anymore but he still gets disturbed if he gets reminded of the event. After their recent interactions, he  unconsciously have started to miss him but do not want to accept it. He has started going to work and as usual Mac keeps visiting him for lunch. Mac also keeps grumbling about Nan whenever he meets Itt. 

Gear called Itt that he is planning a get together coming weekend and asks him to bring Mac with him. Itt hesitated initially and asked who all would be joining. Gear told just their group and respective partners  in addition to Nan and Day . Gear  teased him "You can bring your partner too." Itt yelled back  but Gear further instigated stating he can find partner in the party. Itt was annoyed with Gear's words but agreed on hearing Day's name. 

Night asked Day to join the party but he declined immediately saying he will be travelling to Kanchanaburi to check salon which he has been ignoring for a while. Gear was passing by and told "Itt is joining too" with a smirk. 

Day still did not want to lose face and said "I can't join"  but once Night requested him couple of times more , he was quick to consent.
