Day Itt GENESIS

Chapter 22

Day left the hospital and realised he did not have a phone or his car . He first went to a shop bought new phone and a new SIM as well. He called P'Kom whose number he knew by heart since his old days when there were many times he did not have phone and have to contact him. P'Kom who told he was able to deal with couple of people from that gang but they did not divulge any details so there might be more who can still try to get back at Day. "Just stay cautious" P'Kom told. Day thanked him for taking care of it and told he will deal with the rest.

Day was really curious if Itt is fine so he called him but he did not pick the call. Itt's contact is another number who he remembered very well as there many times in last couple of years when he opened his contact and stared thinking about him and wanting to call.

 Day called Itt again but no response making Day restless. He did not recall Gear's number and Night he did not want to call  in order to not to make him worry. He decided to get his car and go to Bangkok to confirm if they are safe.

When he reached near the place of his accident , he checked with few locals and they directed him to garage. When he reached there he saw some familiar faces who were arguing among each other. Day immediately hid in order to avoid attention and observed there were four guys in group. He remembered P'KOm mentioned there might be others in gang too. Day decided to leave the car and tried to leave without getting noticed. Unfortunately a guy who was coming from opposite side saw Day and immediately ran after him and hit his head from back with a rod which was in his hand.

Day was hit hard. He almost stumbled to fell on ground but was quick to react and gave a back kick and turned to punch him. The rod fell on ground and Day picked it and hit him making it hard for him to get back on feet.

His other gang members still did not notice them as they were little far and Day took this opportunity to escape.

Day ran through narrow streets to avoid being followed.  

The guy who hit Day alerted his gang and they scattered across to search for Day.

When Day heard some noises and he heard his name in between their arguments , Day realised the gang is near. Day saw a small dingy house  which looked like no one stayed there since ages. He took the staircase which led him to the terrace giving him the clearer view of streets. He leaned towards the wall of terrace just peeking enough to see down the street without letting anyone see him back. He clearly could spot where each gang member was, he was in dilemma if he should fight or just escape.  He felt blood dripping  from his head and was feeling the pain. His prior wounds have not recovered and new one's made him more weak. Day had started feeling dizzy again so decided to escape for now as he will not be able to put a good fight.

He waited on terrace for almost two hours and saw everyone leave. Day even heard one calling "Boss he saw us and did not take car, he might go to Bangkok" making Day conclude they will not come back.

He got down and went to a small shop and bought a bottle of water. He poured the water on his head to wash the blood and drank few sips. He really needed some help , but he did not have contacts of Neil or any of his friends and he did not want to bother P'Kom again. He saw a board of small motel and followed the direction. The motel was bit shabby but he did not have more energy to continue and decided to stay there for one night. He entered the motel when Nan drove the car with Neil and Gear in it passing  across  the motel. They were going to check Day's car and unfortunately none of them caught any glimpse of each other.  

Day got one room and asked the receptionist if he can get him some medicines from outside which he agreed once Day paid him extra. 

Day entered the room and lay on bed with his legs still hanging to touch floor. He held his head and sighed. He never felt so weak , he was exhausted and was worried about Itt too. He decided to stay for few hours and leave for Bangkok. He ordered food but had very little, only enough to take medicines. He took shower and cleaned his wounds and took medicines and laid down and slept immediately  or rather he passed out of exhaustion.

During midnight Gear came down to get some water and heard some noise from Itt's room . He opened the door slightly and saw Itt mumbling and kicking his blanket down. He went closer and heard words " Day.. No .. No.." and remaining was gibberish and Itt was waving his hands looking like stopping someone. Gear was confused listening Day's name. He shook Itt to wake him up from his nightmare frightening  Itt more who  pushed Gear hard making him stumble backward.  

"Brick.. it's me Gear " He switched on the light and  saw Itt's pale face . Gear sat next to him and rubbed his back to calm him.  Gear said again "It's all right, It was just nightmare" and Itt nodded in understanding but was still scared.  Gear poured him a glass of water and handed him to drink. Itt gulped it without saying anything.

 Gear asked "Did you have medicine last night?" Itt shook his head gesturing no and after taking a deep breath spoke "I am ok now"

"Are your medicines in your office bag?" Gear asked and Itt nodded.

Gear got medicines and made Itt have. 

"I am ok now. You go back and sleep" Itt said. Gear had lot of questions but he did not think it is the right time to ask now so he asked Itt to sleep as well and went to his room.

Gear laid on his bed but had lot on his mind now "What happed between Day and Itt...... What trauma Itt is going through.... What did Day do..." but then suddenly Night turned and put his hand on Gear's waist trying to cuddle up in his sleep. Gear recalled first he need to ensure Day is safe so he picked Night's phone seeing him asleep and scrolled through all his contacts , most of them were names he knew , some looked like Night's college friends as he has heard those names from Night. He saw P'Kom and Sir Kamol as contact. Sir looked unusual contact to be in Night's contact list and Gear never heard these names. He went through messages and saw Night had messaged P'KOm couple of years back. He scrolled through chats and read conversation which looked like both talked about Day  and the chats were mostly Night asking about Day's whereabout and safety. Gear assumed he might know something.

He saved both Kom and Kamol  numbers in his phone and went back to sleep.

Next day Gear got up early and messaged Neil both these contacts asking if he knew them and Neil confirmed that he has heard these names from Day and he will call and check. Gear wanted to wake up Night but recalled he did not have any class so he let him sleep more.

Gear went downstairs and slightly opened Itt's room and saw him asleep so closed the door slowly in order to not to disturb him.

Gear sat down on couch reading newspaper and in no time both Gus and Night came down.

"Where is P'Itt? Is he still sleeping " Gus shouted as he was about to go towards Itt's room when Gear has to gesture him to  speak softly and said "Let him sleep"

Night sat on couch next to Gear with a sad face looking at his phone as he was still waiting for Day to call.

Gear stroked Night's hair and said "Don't worry. Will find Day. Neil and Nan are also asking their contacts about Day" . Night nodded and felt little better knowing there are others checking on Day. Gear knew Night is very anxious and he cannot just dawdle Night's confusion though he still did not tell about accident.

Gear got ready and was about to leave as he had to go to office and continue to find Day. He instructed Gus "Do not let Itt go out of house at all" when Itt came out of his room.

"You leaving? " Itt said when he saw Gear ready to go out and added "I am thinking to go to office for sometime"

"Itt ... We discussed this yesterday. You are staying at home for couple of days then we can see how things are" Gear said and left without listening to Itt further.

Itt saw Gus and Night who were looking at him and smiled little and then said "I will go back and work in the room " and went inside.

"I will call you when breakfast is ready" Gus shouted and Itt said ok.

Day woke up and groaned in pain , his arm was more sore while his head was still hurting. Day picked his mobile and checked the time,  it was 8 am. His condition was worse as he had fever as well. He thought he will rest for another couple of hours before getting up. He ate little from leftover and had medicines and then called reception that he will extend the stay for one more day. After switching his sides for some time as he was in lot of pain , he eventually slept.

Itt was working and decided to call the number from which he received missed call but no one picked.
