Day Itt GENESIS

Chapter 27 - The awkwardness

Mac was available on weekend and on Itt's insistence Mac agreed to go. Mac drove Itt to Gear's house and the housekeeper directed them towards the pool where everyone was sitting. Neil was sitting on pool chair while sipping beer.  Nick and Four  were sitting on pool's edge dipping their feet in, talking and laughing . There was a wooden table at centre and Gear was arranging food and drinks there.

Gear called Itt to check when he would be arriving but the voice of phone ring could be heard approaching them . Gear turned and saw Itt looking at his phone which was flashing Gear's name . They both laughed looking at each other. Gear saw Mac standing next to Itt and he went closer and shook hands.

Nick was his usual full of enthusiasm when he came and hugged Itt and greeted Mac. Four also joined them. They all have met Mac once and Mac being friendly was quick to mix up with them. Itt and Mac greeted Neil and they all sat on chairs near him. 

Itt's eyes were roaming around but he could not find Day.  Gear offered them beers and they all sat and chit chatted. Gear noticed Itt was looking around when he asked "Are you looking for someone?"

"Ah ... No" Itt flustered " By the way where is Gus" he asked to cover up.

"Gus and Night had some college trip , they would be returning soon" Gear responded when he saw Day and Nan entering with drinks in their hands. Gear got up and took drink from Day's hands , who went and sat next to Neil when both Itt and Day saw each other.

Itt was not sure what to do. He raised half hand to greet but lowered back in confusion. Day was about to say something but did not say anything. Eventually none of them greeted or said anything to each other. Day picked one beer and started sipping. 

Nan on the other hand was quick to tease  " Hey you looking different than that day"

"What ? How different" Mac responded in annoyed tone.

"You look happy with your friend" Nan teased further.

"Yes. What's wrong" Mac responded

AS there banter was going on Gear brought snacks . Day and Itt keep glancing at each other secretly trying to avoid each other's and anyone's else gaze.

After a while Gus and Night entered, Gus saw Itt and rushed towards him and held his arm and started apologising with puppy face "P'Itt I am sorry" Itt ruffled his hair and told him it was not his fault and finally pacified him. 

Gear knew his brother has been feeling guilty since then , to change mood he got soft drink for Gus when he shouted at Gear "I will have beer , not soft drink" Gear smirked knowing his brother is back to usual self. He handed beer to Night and Gus and they went to sit near the pool. 

Itt was carefully serving Mac as he knew about his garlic allergy. He was picking snacks  and after verifying with Gear he was putting in Mac's plate. Nan and Day were noticing same when Nan joked "You can pick yourself. Why you having your friend serve you"

"No I will serve, he has garlic allergy" Itt interrupted.

"Garlic allergy! that's strange .. Heard for first time" Nan joked again but he was getting curious about Mac.  "Yes what's strange" Mac said annoyingly as he handed his drink to Itt. 

Itt left beer and drank the drink offered by Mac who knew Itt's preference. Day was feeling strange not knowing now how close both of them are.

As night progressed, Nick was too drunk and Neil had to go to work early morning so Neil dragged Nick and they left first.

Gus and Night were too sleepy so Gear asked them to go and sleep in room so they both also left. Four also had work next morning he also said goodbye and left. 

Mac also got drunk as Nan kept challenging him to drink. Itt was feeling tipsy who had lost count of drinks as he drank whoever offered him drink while he was sneaking glances at Day. Itt's face was red but he was not speaking much for others to figure out if he was drunk.

"I will drive" Itt said looking at Mac in a calm voice.

"No I drove you here and I will send you back" Mac said in assertive tone but dropped the glass which was in his hand as he was gesturing Itt with strong hand movement.

Nan smirked and said "You can't even hold glass and you are talking about driving." Mac was more annoyed and he held Itt's hand. Itt just shook his head and stood up "I will drive." Gear knew Itt is not too good at holding drink so seeing their conditions he told "You both stay at my place and can leave tomorrow"

"No I want to leave. I did not have medicines today so I will have nightmares" Itt said candidly in an innocent voice. Day and Gear both looked at him feeling sorry for him. Itt started heading towards entrance but staggered when everyone could see he was drunk too. Day quickly rushed towards him and supported  him. Itt also leaned on him.

Day asked Nan to drop Mac;  while told Gear that he will drop Itt.  Gear was fine with the arrangement as Nan and Day were the only one's who were not drunk. Nan had to go back to his race track while Day was planning to leave for Kanchanburi next morning as he postponed his trip to accommodate this get-together. Thus both have them had only 1-2 drinks .

Nan dragged Mac who kept resisting but he took him in his car .On the way Nan kept teasing Mac as he was finding fun. Mac however was too drunk and was just reacting without thinking and half of the time Nan was unable to understand him.

Day took Itt in his car. Day saw Itt struggling with seatbelt when Day went closer to help him.
