Day Itt GENESIS

Chapter 33

"Where are you taking me?" Mac yelled at Nan who just smirked.

After a while he stopped at race track , Mac's eyes were wide open and mumbled 'Race track!" . Nan took Mac inside and the track was crowded with some preparing to race while others watching from stands. Mac used to love driving cars but he has never raced, he was spellbound with the atmosphere.

There were people coming in and greeting Nan. Mac realised he met Nan few times but he don't really know what he does.

"Do you want to race?" Nan asked looking at Mac

"Can I ?" Mac said in excited tone forgetting all his frustration and anger. 

"Umm.." Nan said as he asked one of the boy to get the key of his favourite car. As Nan took Mac to see the car, it was latest model which Mac had seen in the magazine. Mac was so spellbound , he went closer and checked the car with child like enthusiasm. Nan was smiling seeing Mac like that. 

Nan made Mac race with one  amateur driver as he was not sure if Mac can handle it. Mac however won the race and Nan was quite impressed with Mac's skills.

Mac insisted on racing one more time. The next race was with one of the  most aggressive racer  on the circuit so Nan did not allow him  thinking about Mac's safety but he did not give this reason to Mac. Instead he told Mac "Try begging , may be I will allow you next Saturday" 

"Huh" Mac was annoyed but happy to win his first race.

Nan invited him to have dinner together in his office. Nan had to leave him alone few times due to issues on track but Nan's way of handling things and how people were treating him was influencing Mac's perception about Nan. Mac unconsciously have started admiring him but the impression was only for short span as it got overpowered by Nan's teasing.

Itt  closed the gate and realised he brought Day's jacket with him and turned to give it back but Day already drove away.

Itt went to his room and sat on edge of the bed and sighed looking at Day's jacket. He had a hollow feeling in his heart. He was feeling strange but he tried to convince himself he took the right decision.  He laid down but was not able to sleep.

Day went home and started smashing objects on the floor. He opened a liquor bottle and started drinking.  He thought about times he spent with Itt but was feeling disappointed that Itt could not see his changed actions and intention. He kept drinking whole night and smoked almost half packet . 

Itt started going to work as usual but was gloomy most of the time. HIs nightmares started appearing again and he was back to taking meds.

Day dwelled himself completely into work. He gave up on Itt completely and focussed only on work. He started shuffling between Kanchnaburi and Bangkok salon every alternate days. With the amount of travelling he was doing , he was too exhausted in the night to even think of anything. 

Next Saturday Mac recalled Nan agreed to allow him race. He messaged Nan "Can I race today?"

Nan smiled seeing the message  and responded"Beg me!"

"You promised , keep your words" Mac messaged back. Nan agreed with condition that Mac will have dinner with him. 

Mac called Itt "Are you free today? " and without waiting to listen to his response told "You coming with me. " Itt had a doctor's appointment which his Dad had fixed for therapy seeing Itt depressed again. Itt wanted to escape therapy so agreed to Mac unwilling else he would have preferred just staying in his room.Mac did not tell Itt where he was taking him and Itt did not question much as he just wanted to avoid doctor appointment.

Mac took Itt to racetrack. Itt felt nostalgic as he used to visit the track before he went to States. He used to accompany Gear and even Itt himself used to ride bikes and also won couple of bike races.

"Are you racing?" Itt asked Mac who excitedly told about his last race which he won. Mac directly took Itt to Nan's office.

"What ..are you the owner?" Itt asked in surprise and Nan nodded with smile. All three sat there for a while and Mac was telling Itt enthusiastically about car he used last time. Mac have started to talk to Nan in same casual manner as he talks with Itt.

Then they went out to check the cars. When a boy came and told Nan that there was one group who was creating chaos so Nan went to check on that. He  told Mac he will be racing later and still have an hour  so they can sit and watch till that time.  

There was two groups fighting and Nan intervened to stop them by threatening them that he will not allow them to race. In mean time another boy came and whispered in Nan's ear that couple of people looking suspicious and seemed to be from their competitor's track. Nan went to check them on CC tv recording and agreed with his boy but Nan did not want to take any action now as it was peak time.

The track was lot more crowded than usual and Nan was struggling to govern everything.  He call Day "Hia can you come and help me today on track". Day had been investing in Nan's track and also assist him in case of major issues. Day agreed listening to Nan and was there in no more than 30 minutes.

Mac and Itt were sitting and watching the races. Itt was happy it helped him to divert his mind. Day went to Nan's office directly. He crossed Itt but neither of them noticed each other.

Day asked Nan he can go ahead and check the field while he will monitor situation from control room. 

It was time Mac had to race so Nan went to call Mac to get ready. Nan asked Itt if he wants to sit in office. Even Mac insisted that he should sit in office as he was aware Itt gets anxious in crowd. But Itt declined adamantly saying that he will continue sitting and watch the races. Itt was just focussing on race so was not too scared of crowd. Mac left little worried with Nan.

In no time the group which  was reprimanded by Nan for creating chaos came and sit next to Itt.  They all looked little drunk and Itt ignored them . Soon one of the guy looked at Itt and started talking about him " Isn't he cute?"  and others in group looked at him and agreed. Itt was not aware if they were talking about him as he saw Mac sitting in the car who was about to race . The race started and Itt was engrossed in watching Mac's car as he fisted to root for Mac . As Mac was leading Itt's was happy and stood up and shouted little loud "Yes Mac!" A tall guy came and stood just behind Itt.

Suddenly a car overtook Mac by hitting his car from side making Mac's car suddenly turn and Mac lost the balance. HIs car skidded and hit the boundary hard . Itt was shocked to see and was about to run towards Mac when the guy who stood closely behind Itt squeezed his ass. Itt was shocked and pushed him with his elbow  but the tall guy was strong and put his arms around Itt's waist. Itt struggled to free himself .

Itt's eyes were on Mac and he was gathering strength to come out of grip. Nan and his team rushed towards Mac. A stretcher was called as it looked like Mac was injured.

The tall guy started snuggling Itt as other's in group were just laughing and mocking.

Day saw the crash but when he saw Nan rushing, he diverted his attention to other spots. Day was not aware Mac was the driver as he could not see the face.  Amidst all this he saw some chaos as the group was huddling so he zoomed the camera only to notice Itt to his shock. Day gritted his teeth as he saw the guy holding Itt's chin turning his face trying to kiss him. Day stormed outside. Itt was pushing the guy hard  but with the panic taking over his mind, Itt did not have much strength when the tall guy forcefully bit his lips making it bleed.  Itt gathered courage and punched him when another guy came and punched Itt hard in his stomach. Day came and kicked the guy making him fall and turned towards the tall guy who kissed Itt and punched him on his face hard enough that his tooth must have broken. Day held Itt 's arm and made him stand beside him. Itt was trembling and felt relieved and muttered "P'Day" , his voice was too feeble.  The others in group who were drunk tried to come and fight with Day but Day was quick to attack back.  Day did not want to create much scene on the track so he asked Nan's boys to take them out of the track. They followed Day's orders and directed the group out of track.

Day turned and  saw Itt's pale face.
